David got the "gist" of my (admittedly weak) Canopus argument "dead on." It was just KK's weenie way of trying not to have so dramatically lost the challenge he gave Mac -- in my "I defy you" post.

And, Jimbob, you are right. The Discussion thread was frantic with arguments during II. After a while it got so crazy the story kinda fizzled. But Joeseph is to be congratulated. the idea was still good enough to generate all this interest in III.

I agree, but the problem is we may be down to as few as 10 players,. I haven't seen any of the Aliens in a while, nor Zen nor Moose. GR has also been busy, so I'm not sure how much he could participate at the start. Ten might be enough to start (barely) if we realigned, but we'd certainly have to rely on more people joining. I almost wonder if it might not be better to tuck this away for a little bit, and start it up again after Nova has been released, with all the backwork done by me in the meantime?

Well, depends. I have my webstory, Golden Horizon. You can look up information about that at: (url="http://"http://www.carnotaurhq.com/golden_horizon/index.html")http://www.carnotaur...izon/index.html(/url)
There's also Reign of Chaos III, which is doing great. But really, Golden Horizon needs some players. Open slots; Azdgari need a leader, Miranu need a leader, and Akrahd (a new race) need a leader. Both RoC 3 (reign of chaos III), and GH (Golden Horizon) are the same general idea; command your government to go over and blast away people. There isn't any real fleets or different kinds of systems for either of them, and RoC 3 doesn't really have a credit/resource count, and ship building is controlled by mods in both stories.
Researching also works different. Let's say that I wanted to research Neutron Weapons. I'd spend 4 posts researching that weapon. Just look at the stories for examples.
Also, there isn't any limit on how many systems you can capture per-post.
