Thunder stepped forward and greeted the lead Emalgha representitive.
"Hi, I'm Thunder, leader of this resistance. We have no navy, no ships, and only a few thousand members scattered across this and several other settlements in the area, but as our message spreads, our movement will grow, until all the Hinwar are behind us. Because of this, we can't offer you any samples of Bronev plating or Dospece armor. The closest we have is a scorched piece of hull we found after scouring the crash site of a Voinian Supply Ship. We'll give it to you if you want it, but we have something even more valuable."
"And what is that?" the Emalgha asked.
"Information," Thunder replied. "Several of our operatives were once slaves inside the Voinian military complex. Slaves weren't given access to military information, but they sometimes came across it, either out of curiosity or through Voinian laziness or mistakes."
"What kind of imformation?"
"Voinian space is vast, right? More than a dozen systems, and more than a hundred warships, from our best estimates. Yet, you Emalgha, who tell us you have only two systems, easily manage to hold off most of their raids and attacks, with your much smaller space force."
"True," the representitive said, "that does seem a bit odd."
"Also, on the rare occassion that we got hold of a Voinian military report, they have a lot of ships on patrol on their eastern border. And several of our members of our resistance have overheard high ranking Voinian military officials ordering anything from single ships to small fleets to launch attacks along their eastern border. That's why we were so surprised when you said you came from the galactic north; we always assumed any Voinian enemy would come from the east."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying I think the Voinians have another enemy, other than the Emalgha, to the east of their space. Whoever they are, you have a common enemy with them. Our best estimates is that they could be anywhere between 3 and 6 systems east of here. We have enough hyperspace fuel, covertly siphoned from Voinian tanks, to fill each of your ships and store around 300 extra units of fuel in each one's cargo bay. We've got no ships, so the fuel is worthless to us. Whether you're going back north to your space, or east to investiage the possiblility of a new ally, we're sure it will come in handy."
Just then, 3 resistance members and 2 Emalgha engineers rushed in. "We've finished refueling and repairing the Emalgha ships, one of the resistance members reported. "And they gave us extra fuel, too..." one of the Emalgha engineers said to the Emalgha representitives.
"One more thing, before you leave," said one resistance member. "We just gave you fuel and valuable information, can we have some of the assult rifles? Every little bit counts when you're mounting an insurrection."
