      I just thought of something that I've wanted since EV, since my first escort actually, i've always wanted to beable to outfit my escorts (that goes for fighters to), it would open up so many possabilaties, for inctance, hire/capture a cres' warship, sell all it's stuff (maybe keep a turret or two) and put cargo expansions on it - poof - you now have a super tough freighter. it would also allow fighters to be more effective, because you could have 5 UE Fighters with 4 Nuetron cannons, now THAT would be mean, or even meaner, Azdaras with nuetron cannons 😄

      on side note: I think it would be cool to beable to tell your escorts to attack like fighters

      i believe if your escorts have a warship or naval fighter, then they will attack. i capture naval fighters and use 'em all the time. it works.

    • yeah, i know, but what i meant was so you could tell your escorts to attack ONE target.

    • This is vaguely possible now, but it's not too reliable. You can direct your escorts to attack a target, assuming they're not already occupied. Simply fire a few rounds at the target and they will usually start firing at the same target. Unfortunately, this won't happen every time, and if anything else distracts your escorts, they'll stop attacking that target.
      I agree, being able to directly tell your escorts what to attack would be nice. However, as it stands now, the pilots of your escorts have a small amount of independence still. Besides, it helps keep them alive longer. Ever have your fighters attacking one target, only to get blown up by another ship? Your escorts don't have this problem.

    • another thing that ive wanted ever since i bought my second missile rack and tried to shoot a defender with one missile: similtanious firing of weapons. for example, in unreal tournament, the rocket launcher will fire off 6 rockets if you hold down the fire button for 6 seconds, so if you could hold command or option and the fire button in ev (mine is option) then you could fire 2/shot with 2 launchers 1 shot with 1 launcher, maybe buy 4 launchers and fire 4 at a time ect...thats sorta what the quantam torp is, right?

    • Actually, that's simply made with a flag in the weapon resource. Some weapons have that flag, and fire simultaneuosly: SAD's, SAE's, Voinian salvo rocket turrets, etc.

      several gods: Skyhawk, Laer, & HellHunter, all of whom have been MAJOR
      players in the history of Escape Velocity.

      Anyone know what epsilon is doing now?

      I lost the Epsilon HL Server address. could someone update me?
