Torpedos and missiles immediately began criss-crossing space as the Confederate defense fleet opened fire on the vastly larger Rebel fleet, however jamming pods made more than half of the Confederate salvos miss their targets. The Rebel munitions suffered from no such problem. The new Catapult fighters were blown out of the sky with comparatively few Tsarina losses, and the Cruisers received a nasty suprise when the first wave of Cossacks unleased their new weapon; the Guided Space Bomb. The Cruisers attempted to avoid, but were unable to evade their impacts. Their explosions were visible on New Sahara.

Between the two fleets, the galaxy, except for Jadzian space (The Union is allowed to prosper), and Cydonian space, is soon the Confederations.
