    • I prefer the Rebels because of the ships. They are much funner to fly, ecspecially the Destroyer. But if your saying you like the Rebels better and haven't played the Confederation string, then you can't make a completely accurate judgement.

      I totaty i agree with that so we both agree that the confeds have a safer territory for many reasons.

      And i also agree that when i post a topic that there will be disagreements and agreements from both sides. But what im saying is i dont want people coming in and bashing on the topic just because they dont agree. But im glad to have disagreements as long as it doesnt come to be pointless bashing. You however are putting good points and disagreements out.

      I agree that the rebel ships are funner to fly. But i have done the confed sting of missions and im saying that i perfer the rebels to the confeds in more that just the missions and ships. But i have to say what the hell is wrong with the mantas? They are so WEAK! One missile the poor little buggers!

      Well, they are surplus ships that were designed before the Great War. In their day, they were probably quite effective.

      Yea but you think they could upgrade them or something. Because when it comes to fighting any ship that has more than one missle they're dead. But i could see how they were effective back then. They were probably a quick light attack ship that could shoot a ton and in groups tha could be very effictive.

      Yeah, that's the only way they could be useful.
      Also, ships were all less technologically advanced during the Great War.

      I beat the game so i got a cheater plug that lets you BUY (yes that says buy) a mants bay, and not just one you can get up to 1000 and 1000 mantas. so they are effective in groups but single attacks they stink.

    • One missile? I have version 1.0.5, and they have three each. This was added, I know. You must have 1.0.2 or something. I did for the longest time.

      I started working for the Confeds when I first started out, and actually got pretty far, but I switched over to the Rebels.

      I have a Rebel Cruiser.

      Which one do you like more the confeds or the rebels missions? How are you liking the rebel crusier? I have only toyed with the rebel crusier once so i dont know but can you get more mantas? Because if not than that would be weak.

      Actually, in the normal EV game, you can only buy a maximum of 4 Mantas. Personally, I think that should be upped to 6 Mantas, as the 3 rear fins on the Rebel Cruiser divide the rings into 3 equal parts, therefore IMHO the number of Mantas should be dividable into whole numbers by 3.

      I agree there should be 6 Mantas intead of 4. It would be more realistic. And better for the rebs!

    • Did you ever fly a nuke? I never have but I'm sure youd die in it thats the way a fed cruiser is. Whats so good about attacking when you either can't defend yourself or you can't attack properly?

    • Some reasons why I think the rebels are good and why I favor them.

      I like the rebels mainly because they are the challengers. It is the government that’s fighting the super force. Even though I am a rebel supporter I have to say that the Fed cruiser is far superior. I haven’t seen a Rebel cruiser destroy a Fed Cruiser many times. I first started liking the Rebels when I was 7 or 9 years old, when I could have sworn that a Fed cruiser fired a heavy rocket at a Manta and the Rebel Cruiser turned and took the impact just in time to save the Manta from being destroyed (The Rebel cruiser was destroyed afterwards also I know that the Rebel cruiser didn't do it on purpose now. I'm 15 and know about A.I and see how dumb I am). So from that day forth even if I was a crappy clipper I would hit the Fed cruiser just before it hit the rebel cruiser in a dog fight so the fed cruiser would miss its chance to fire a heavy rocket and neutron cannons(giving the rebels a major advantage).

      I also liked the colour red much more than blue. The Rebel cruiser looked much more complex, flashy than the Fed cruiser. Also I see that many people are not in favor of the rebel destroyer because it's an improved Argosy. Rebel destroyers cost how much. I can't remember 3 million? I think the fact that it is so cheap compared to the frigate should give it some credit; it is by far value for money (more than a dam frigate). Then only thing that the rebel cruiser didn't have was the torps.

      The cloaking device is far better than anything the feds have come up with. The dam ships can't detect you!!! I don't see how a beam can compare.

    • You've had EV that long! :eek: I'm fourteen and will be fifteen the 23rd and I first had EV when I was 12. That version was EVO though I lost it for certain reasons but I didn't know what it is. Around a year later I found EV from a macworld subscription and got really excited.

      P.S I've SEAN Rebel Cruisers destroy Fed Cruisers.

    • The Rebels are really neat, and the Tractor Beam is super-useful. (Especially against tiny ships which, in my Reb Cruiser, I can't keep up with.) But I suppose I can't say anything since I haven't played a drop of the
      Confed strings.....But I have played their ships which I think the Rebels surpass in every way.
