Bari, I have watched all of your replays but 1 or 2, and they are all just as good as Mac's.

Hey, if I am terran in a 3v3 shared moneymap, should I play with marines/medics a bit? I usually only see them used in rush games, but when I think about it 100+ marines back by medics would be pretty powerful. Does that work? I will experiment tonight, if I somehow manage to finish my 3+ hours of homework. :frown:

Up with standardized testing! Anything that I can pretty much ace and when only using half the alloted time for the test and not bothering to double check has to be a good thing.

The tests themselves are not bad, but the preparation. As the son of a teacher, I know a lot about what is wrong with the testing (at least in our area). First of all, it completely dominates the schedual. We spend months practicing, doing thousands of problems (around 100 per night at times) that are entirely easy, but extremely tedious and repetitve. I had to find the surface area of about 25 cylinders tonight. We spend so much time doing testing that many lessons that would otherwise teach us NEW things are left out (a few of my teachers were complaining about this yesterday).

We spend huge amounts of time and energy doing this crap, and why? So the principle can get another zero added to his paycheck. Not to mention bragging rights at school board meetings.

I've got a new replay showing a good example of how to dry out an enemy's resource flow with protoss. Should I post it? It's really not that good of a game other than that.

I've almost gotten a sour taste for Starcraft, but I know why. It's not rediculously easy. That's a good thing. I'm used to RTS games where I can build a huge fleet and dominate, this isn't the case with Starcraft. I think I'll give it another go. And I was thinking of writing an EV story. Basic plotline: Confederate admiral has most powerful ship in the galaxy, and is incredibly loved and respected by the people. He has confederate morals, which are good. For only the very highest people in the council know about the oppression on the fringe worlds. But one day he finds out, and the council knows they can't let him. He is sentenced to die of starvation on an empty world. This is carried out, but a pirate ship comes and picks him up. He gets another powerful ship and seeks his revenge. He might even end up working for the rebels. What do you guys think?

Nah, just watch my new one instead. Also added another quick Protoss replay last night, just so you could see I'm not single suited; I can beat people down with the Protoss too.

Insano: If you want to write it, go ahead. Writing is generally best done on subjects that intrest you, so if it would be fun for you to write, do it.

Thanks. I was thinking either third or a combination of both. The combination would be from the perspective of someone who saw the whole story, but was not involved in it. So the speaker could still add his thoughts and feelings without interfering with the story. Sounds weird, I know. I don't want to do first because almost every other story I've written has been first person. About my writing, I have one story I've written that was very hard to write. These were my constraints: A guy won the lottery, no violence. Wow, just the lottery was hard enough, but no violence? That means no kidnappings of family members or anything. Turned out okay, though.

Yeah, this has become an SC discussion topic. If anyone else wants to talk about anything else, they are free to do so.

I use BroodWar, except when played a few of my friends (well, just one now) I have to use original because that is all that he has. There are no huge differences. In fact, I think Brood War is not worth the money. 1-2 new units for each race and a couple more upgrades is all that it adds. Doesn't effect gameplay much at all. I really wish they would make a huge expansion that added and changed a lot of stuff... I guess BW is more suited towards adding missions, and not enhancing the game itself.

Very nice, bari. Why aren't you ever zerg? A zerg player who knows what they are doing can dominate a game, and are especially helpful in 3v3 shared games. Hydras can be amazingly powerful if mass produced correctly. And devourerers can shred through wraiths and BCs.

I watched your first replay with kyle and half of the second, but power went off so I did not get to finish it. Something weird is going on with the power in my neighborhood... It screwed up my bread-making machine.
