Two Reasons:

1. I forget how fast the shuttle can get up to (65,000 MP/h I think)
2. Don't know the speed of light, which means I don't know a quarter of it.

Maybe you guys could give me a link of somewhwere I could find this.

(edit) 299,792,458 meters per second is the speed of light, I found out. But now how do I get that to convert to MP/h and compare MP/h to AU/h? (/edit)

AU/h is Astronomical Units per hour. An Astronomical unit is the distance between the Earth and the Sun. Since light takes ~8 minutes to get from Sun to Earth, Lightspeed =~ 7.5 AU/h.

I'd suggest you stop with your equations before you hurt your head with big numbers.

And yes, this does mean if taken literally that a Bulk Freighter can go 10+ times the speed of light. It's just a game.

It is kind of silly when you think about how your bulk freighter should be able to easily outrun those pesky laser beams... unfortunately this doesn't translate well.

Oh well, if you want to try and impress yourself with huge Mi/Hr readouts on the EV ships, go ahead.

Zen then attempts to measure his own speed, while sitting still, in Au/H. He cannot however, due to an improper frame of refrence of not actually being present at the site of measurement. Quick run away from the laser beams!

BTW Insano, .exe files don't work on Macs, but my dad has that one on his work laptop. It's a gem.
