•It must be carried by at least a kestrel.
•It can be (along with turrets) the only weapon the ship can carry.
•The ship cost must be raised by at least 4M
•The weapon can't be put on a ship, if the ship wasn't purchased with the Buster Cannon.
2- You don't need to change the name, it was just an afterthought

Those are actually around what I thought of for conditions on it. Heh, HC Carriers and Alien Battlecruisers will fear the pirates big time, as soon as these get on.

But you must remember, in the long wait between shots, the HC and Aliens will deicmate you with seeker drones/torpedoes.
