I am waiting for confirmation on becoming weapons designer. For now, the page 5 Pirate weapon is the tri-photon turret. Being high energy light (GAMMA RAYS), it is extremely well targeted, and fires really fast. It can also have the side effect of screwing up its target's electronics.

Apparently, my X-Rapiers are kicking HC warship @$$ right about now.
I'm still trying to fit graphics work for weapons into my schedule of stuff to do for this, but the new weapon for page 5 is the Detonator Launcher, which fires bursts of 12 unguided Detonator Canisters. The launcher itself can throw them in any direction. Think similar to Miranu Defense Pods from Override, or Scattershot from New Horizons. that general idea.
I'll get graphics for these up as soon as I can. The Needle Turret shouldn't be hard, but I'm still having some disagreements with Strata, so this one could be a problem. We'll see.

I was able to convince Geocities to let me download it, but your file is screwed up anyway. When Graphic Converter won't open a picture, that's a bad sign. You might want to work on that a bit. If you want an easier way to get it posted, send it to me on e-mail.

Making things smaller: It's very simple. Save your rendered image as a jpeg or pict or similar, and open it using another program like Graphic Converter (Appleworks will even work for picts) and scale the image there.

Cadet- your host is the problem. Geocities and Yahoo do not provide external linking whatsoever. If you want some images posted here that will show up, host them on a f2s.com or iTools server. I believe both are free...

I didn't design it I just made the pics. Although I do have a page 7 weapon for Pirates. Its seems balanced to me.
Buster cannon
Extremely large and expensive. Very slow firing. Only once every 5 minutes. 30,000 Energy and Mass damage. During half the time the cannon is recharging the ship that fired it is completely helpless, all systems drained by the shot. Don't have a picture for this.

I see, is it a guided long range weapon, or a short range weapon? Also, is it an energy surge or an extremely densly packed secondary. When I read the description I thought a fusion bomb, what mechanisms cause such extreme damage.
Also, on another note, I was thinking about the HNR. The problem with having a nuclear rocket in space is the fact that most of the damage comes from the intense gravatic shock wave. In space, the shock wave is much different. Therefore, you could only do moderate damage to one ship. Possibly you might rename it?

It's a long range beam weapon. It fires an incredible amount of energy packed together. It's range is about twice the range of the missile or torpedo, whichever is longer.
Well, we could leave it up to the fact that this isn't real and still call it the HNR. Or we could call it the Big Powerful Weapon (BPW).
