    • item positioning???

      hi -

i'm using v1.0.1 of coldstone. i'm simply trying to place items in specific locations on a map (using the map dimensions that ship w/ the tutorial), but find they appear in random locations that have no relationship to where i place them on runtime. i can't find any info on this in the tutorials or boards. forgive me if i'm missing something really basic. but can anyone help me? thanks in advance!

2 things that could be the problem:

      1. Are you placing the items directly on the maps using the map editor? If so then there is a bug that does this. We're hoping it gets fixed.

      2. Are you plaing the items onto a map using the item wizard event? If so then make sure you are using movement coordinates and not pixel coordinates. Also make sure that you have clicked the radial button that says "place at coordinates" and not "Random on map."

Unfortunately the wizard doesn't work very well either, particularly if multiple item launches within a single event (i.e., checking a conditional on startup to see if a player possesses various itmes, and if not, launching the items via the wizard from within main.cet). Stuff still gets seemingly randomly placed on the map. Any other solutions?

      Thanks in advance...

    • Stark: the item problem is the same problem as my animation problem. Coldstone disagrees on which top left corner to use. It may even CREATE an animation out of a picture to load it and then cause more disagreement by centering it on the grid. If CS agreed on 1 corner, only one, not 2, then this whole thing would be fixed.

      Ahem, Beenox. See above.
