about plugins and stuff for windows

I run 2 computers, one on windows 2000 and the other on XP and I have some questions:

Where can I find tools for making sprites for the windows version (I think 1.07)? what about EV movies?

How come none of the character plugs work (at the new pilot menu, there's a new menu called character, but it's always empty).

What about 3D modelers and movie makers? are there any good ones for free? (I currently use zmodeler and am currently painting skins for 2 different ships)

This one I can answer -- the chär resource doesn't work properly in WinNova. Hopefully the bug will be fixed when the update finally comes out.

But is there a program for making sprites on windows? Because the wootware one doesn't seem to work.

Perhaps because it's a Macintosh one? Just a thought...

I know. It says so in the readme? But has anyone found a windows program or am I SOL?

EVNEW should have everything you need for Windows. The Wootware suite does not allow anyone to make sprites, just to put them in the game. 3D programs are being used to make (render) game sprites.
