Gerec, STS Research Directorate, Prometheus Flamus

Throughout Alliance space, personnel of all three research directorates are focusing on improving the overall production capabilities of all Alliance Worlds. In each Alliance system will be installed a second shipyard capable of building 2 Crescent Warships, 3 Laziras, 2 Aradas, and 5 Crescent Fighters per RTD. The shipyards will be equipped with a full arsenal of all Alliance weaponry to aid in the defense of each planet: 20 Sunlances, 20 Firestorm Turrets, 20 Cycleswarm Launchers, and thousands of swarm missiles. This is expected to take a considerable amount of time, considering the scope of the project, but with all three research and engineering directorates working on the project, it should be done in time for the Supreme Commander's timetable to remain on schedule. (Begun: 5/1/03) (End: 5/13/03)

People of the deceased Zidagar nation, we are the Voinians. We have come to protect you from your enemies, the Igadzra. Though we have no hard feelings towards your enemy, we do fear that because of this long war racism and murder will be common. Any civilians who wish to leave will be taken out of this territory unto a safe planet where they can govern themselves. Military personnel will be taken to Council Station where you will be judged for any crimes committed.

      "Paranoia is Life"

    • OOC: After some discussion and negotiation with Red, I've been cleared to finish the Battle of Zidagar....

      -----------

      Zidagar System

Igadzra Admiral Syar Iandor watched as the Igadzra fleet advanced on the Zidagar defenders. Dozens of Zidaras fell within seconds to the unholy fusillade of SAEs which the Igadzra had unleashed upon their enemy. It was a hopeless battle for the Zidagar, and, whether or not they faced it, every last Zidagar vessel was doomed.

"First SAE salvo complete, sir. Enemy warship losses estimated at 70%," the weapons officer reported.

"Very good," Iandor replied. "Put the fleet into a half sphere formation. Spread out the sides a bit. Fire second SAE volley."

      "Yes sir."

The Igadzra armada unleashed another SAE volley, but it was enough to annihilate what few enemy warships were still standing. However, there was still a rather large number of Zidagar fighters and a few aradas numbering in the hundreds. Many hundreds.

"Fleet is in formation, sir," the tactical officer reported to the Igadzra admiral.

"Excellent. Now we must only wait for our opponents move."

The Zidagar fleet, or what remained of it, charged towards the seemingly weakened center of the Igadzra fleet. However, that was exactly what Iandor had been waiting for. Without warning, the outer sides of the fleet closed in, catching the enemy fighters in a deadly crossfire which came from all around. The enemy fighters were surrounded and then pummeled by dozens of newly developed Spinal Beams. Now weakened, the fighters continued the charge, at which time Syar ordered the fleet to unleash more waves of SAE warheads into the enemy.

All hell broke loose as dozens of fighters were incinerated left and right. Those fighters which did make it past this unholy barrage did not last long, as they were engulfed in a swarm of Igadzra warships. Igazras spat out phase bolts which then tore through enemy lines. The survivors attempted to retreat, either to the planet or to another system, but they were all rapidly hunted down by wolf packs of Igadzra Aradas.

With the destruction of the enemy fleet completed, Syar moved his forces around Zidagar itself. Once they were in position, with their guns trained on every military and civillian installation on the surface, the fleet opened a channel to the Zidagar.

Standing up and straightening his uniform, Syar spoke to the viewscreen as the image of some Zidagar admiral appeared in front of him. "I am Admiral Syar Iandor of the Igadzra military. To whom am I speaking?"

      "Zidagar Admiral Hajun."

"Well Admiral Hajun, as you can see I have completely destroyed your defense forces. What reinforcements you have are several days off and will be dealt with soon enough. Now to business; I have weapons trained on every single building on your planet, from skyscrapers to sheds. My terms are simple; unconditional surrender. You will surrender all ships, weapons, technologies, and military assets to the Igadzra government at once. Any resistence will be met with swift and overwhelming force. Your government will be dissolved and be replaced with a provincal government within the central Igadzra government and commanded by Igadzra officials. You will be able to carry on your normal lives as usual. What is your response?"

Hajun turned pale and started to sweat. After conversing with another officer behind him as well as with some other government officials, he finally responded. "We accept your terms."

"Excellent. We will now begin landing troops on your planet, and will be sending out ships to take command of your other colonies." Syar turned to his com officer. "Cut channel, and give the rest of the fleet clearance to begin occupation proceedures. Then open up a channel to Igadzra command and inform them of our status and accomplishments." He turned away, but then paused. "Oh yes, please tell High Command that I'll be sending back some Zidagar Ale as well as a war trophy."

    • Zidagar

The Igadzra fleet sat proud over the homeworld of the Zidagar. Now one strand had gone, absorbed into the new Gretaer Crescent Hegemony. Admiral Syar had recieved word from Igadzra that he was to be appointed Governor of the Zidagar territories. He'd been advised to include as many Zidagar in his command structure as possible, and where possible leave the local governments inplace.

A detachment of ships had been sent to Twyus to clear the Voinian ships out, and a much larger force, in the form of an Armada had been sent to Saffera under the command of Admiral Syras second. The rest of the fleet had been sent in the direction of Azdgari space, to finish that problem once and for all.

      --------

      Chak

The Igadzra fleet was outnumbered, but its ships were tougher than the Azdgaris, and the Azdgaris speed advantages where nullified by the sphere & shell formation. The outcome of the battle would leave the victor seriously weakened, at risk from another attack.

The Igadzra fleet had a simple method for now, destroying the swarms of Azdgari warships with SAEs. Enough could hit every volley to kill scores of Azdgari warships,

    • Saffera System

The Igadzra warfleet entered the system in a flash, and immediately proceeded to slowly head towards the planet. After getting somewhat closer, the fleet halted and moved into a sphere & shell formation. The commander of the fleet, Vice Admiral Aunchon, opened a channel to the Voinian fleet in orbit.

"Voinian Commander, I am Vice Admiral Aunchon of the Igadzra Second Armada. We are here to inform you that the Zidagar government has officially surrendered to us, thereby giving us command of all Zidagar territory, including Saffera and Twyus. Because of this we order you to remove yourselves from the Saffera and Twyus systems as soon as possible. We do not wish in any way to provoke a hostile confrontation with your race, but the Igadzra government does not tolerate third parties meddling in our systems. We will allow you some time to remove yourselves from this system, but we suggest you do it as soon as you can. We are eager to begin the reconstruction of Zidagar territory and to bring the Igadzra and Zidagar peoples together in harmony. We can also assure you we will treat the Zidagar population fairly and with as much kindness as possible. We await your response."

      Twyus System

The commander of the Igadzra fleet in Twyus, Fleet Commander Turon, awaited a message from Saffera regarding the dealings with the Voinians there. In the meantime, the fleet in Twyus also moved in a sphere & shell formation.

      (Encrypted: diplomatic)
Igadzra leader, as the government of the Zidagar has not made any formal communications for months and its leader and cabinet died in the destruction of the flagship, I highly doubt your claim at surrender. Zidagar was a last stand since surrender was impossible after the tragedy of Vastan. The people of these systems have willingly chosen to take sanctuary under my forces, they have literally begged the Voinians to stay. I have put in a communication to Gadzair and have all military personnel declared war criminals are loaded and ready to be sent to Council Station, awaiting only the Council's reply. An attack on any non-aggressive government negotiating with Council would be treacherous and violate Strand Law. Since I have no wish to enter a blood feud I will kindly ask you to leave our systems, since we have offered sanctuary we will fight to keep our words true, no matter the cost. If you wish to attack I urge you to reconsider, you may not comprehend our strength and two systems are not worth your empire, by my estimation. We leave you to make the first move, but I, Vornak urge you to consider waiting.

"We are the Voinians." A soft female voice says, in an engaging tone. "We have recently become indirectly involved in the Strand war. Several Zidagar systems communicated with us and asked us to provide sanctuary for them, we agreed. Now after two of the three systems discussed have had elementary forces placed in them the Igadzra have brought in a massive fleet to annihilate us. We promised that civilians would not be harmed but several Zidagar military personnel have records as war criminals according to Azdgari records. These records also have war criminals proclaimed openly by the Igadzra Empire. We have abducted these militant people easily due to the fact that all Zidagar vessels were engaged battling the Igadzra in Zidagar and are prepared to deliver them to you as a gesture of good will. The Council has always portrayed good judgement in its position as a moderator of the war. "
"We have contacted you not only to inform you of events but to ask for our own variation of sanctuary. We wish you to declare a period of time when the Igadzra cannot make a preemptive attack on us. It would be equal to the time needed to transmit the prisoners for trial. We await your reply honored Council."

    • Saffera

A signal buzzed out from the Igadzra fleet, transmitting to the Voinians.

"This space is inviolate Crescent territory. The Zidagar government, its military command, surrendered to the Igadzra, forming a new union. Zidagar central command never surrendered these systems to anyone but the old Igadzra empire, and so you are not welcome. No crescent race would want to be under the control of outsiders such as yourself. Leave now or you will be destroyed. This is your final warning."

The Igadzra fleet vanished in a rippling effect, unseen by the voinian scanners.

the next thing the Voinians knew, the Igadzra fleet had appeared at extreme SAE range, and opened fire with a weapon they knew nothing about. The Spinal Mount Beams tore into the Voinian ships, cutting massive chunks of armour off. With 150 Igazras, a lot of damage could be done within seconds. 20 Voinian Cruiser vanished in the blinding light the beams gave off, unable to withstand the massive damage a narrow focus beam could do.

      ----

      Twyus

The same message as had been sent in Saffera went out, and the Igadzra fleet vanished as had the one in Saffera. It reappeared at the same range from the voinian fleet, and opened fire. The ships the voinians had in twyus were far less capable and the 50 Igazras left the Voinian fleet drifting debris within seconds. When the Igazdra had the numbers, they could kill anything in seconds.

The ships were sent out, heading towards Raigar to join their allies.

The Nebula testing was going well, and they were slowly penetrating the northern nebula, working out bugs as they went. There were few planets, though the scientists hoped that their would be a habitable planet somewhere in the northern nebula, and they they would find it soon.

In noting how many ships they were losing, and how much fighting was going on around them, the people nervously sent requests to their government. Alenia made a small speech to them all. it would depend how the battles of the galaxy went. If they went well in their perspective, no new ships would be needed. If they went badly, they would certainly start building up the defense fleets.

(OOC: I think considering how much I outnumber him this is fair but if a mod disagrees I'll change. 250+ fighters helps...)

The Voinians, not being stupid, had already launched all fighters when the Igadzra attacked. When the Igadzra launched SAEs at the defensive fleet the fighters headed towards them in theoretically suicidle techniques, or so the Igadzra thought. They underestimated the defense of powerful armor, none of their weapons could even penetrate and after the initial assault losses changed to the defenders. SAEs didn't destroy the fighters with the armor the fighters had and the carriers accepted the fighters and repaired them quickly and soon the Igadzra ran out. The Voinians knew they couldn't win at long range without fighting back so the remaining 200 Heavy Fighters, 20 Interceptors, and 36 Strroka came at the closest possible range and used a wedge pierce firing rockets as the Frigates fired hundreds more rockets the Rockets which were fired caused more as more than 90 Igadzras were damaged beyond repair as well as 54 Aradas, while the Strroka destroyed 60 more Aradas. The sphere formation was a suicide wish for the imbeciles, any ship would be hit without aiming and no worries and since the Igadzra hadn't realized any potential danger from their weapons, 12 Aradas die from friendly fire. Casualties might cause reconsideration of the assault unfortunately the Igadzra aren't that smart.

      Twyus

With a much less powerful fleet then the Igadzra the Voinians rely on their superior speed, a strange thing for the Voinians. As soon as the fleet sees the Aradas disappear they run. What else could they do as they retreat Aradas appear behind them? The Strroka sacrifice to stop them. Losses are unbearable now that the "secret weapon" is known a counterattack can be formulated. The depleted fleet soon was out of range and hyperjumped out. The Igadzra would find no use here, the Voinians never lied. The prisoners have been evacuated and the industrial facilities destroyed.

    • (OOC:Yes, have my fleet stop firing weapons and forget my I.Aradsa number almost as many as your fighters. My fleet commanders really are that dim. Oh, and it's amazing how effective SAES really are. I could get away with just 2 per heavy fighter.)

      Saffera

Unlike the apparently delusional Voinian Commander thought, the Igadzra hadnt fired a single SAE. They'd fired their new spinal mount weapon, previosuly only used at the battle of Zidagar. Unlike Voinians, the Igadzra fleet klnew how to have basic safeties in their weapons, and the new LIDAR Sensor Arrays ensured not a single turret fired to hit another Igadzra ship. When the Voinian fleet began its ramming tactics, the Igadzra did respond with SAEs. Very precise and powerful SAEs. 3 hit every single Voinian Heavy Fighter and Interceptor, destroying them utterly. It seemed the Voinians had been under the mistaken impression their armour would rpotect them. The Spinal Mount Beams changed targets for a second, and wiped out the Strokka fighters befor ethey knew what had hit them. The Voinian charge had been destroyed with a single volley from the Igadzra fleet.

This phase of the battle had gone extremely well for th Igadzra, destroying a huge amount of ships for zero losses.

It seemed the Voinian commander was trying to retreat, and the Igadzra commander could jsut not allow that.

With the fleet activating afterburners while under cloak, it rocketed towards the Voinian ships heading for the hyperspace points.

It arrived with plenty of time to spare. Decloaking, the Igazras fired their beams, twisting the Voinian ships into unrecognisable hulks. The time it took them to enter hyperspace doomed them.

The Igadzra fleet over over the planet, wondering what the Voinians had done with such a meager industrial planet, that was after all, a penal colony whos main function was to mine. The idea of producing any ships here would be rather funny, it having no real resources of its own, and no facilities to do so. It was claimed for one reason, and one reason only.

This message has been sent to you to alert you to the threat of a race calling themselves the Voinians. They seized a Zidagar system, while the Zidagar fleets fleed to defend against the Igadzra First Fleet, or escape. Now that the Zidagar and Igadzra governments are as one, the unified voice of the strands will not allow any outsiders to control strand space. This Voinian government claims it move din to protect the populace of the two systems it conquered. The fact that Twyus is a penal colony blunts their suggestions, as does the fact that Saffera is home to an agrarian community and trading post with the Miranu.

The Voinians attempted first to sieze territory which is not theirs, then to fight against the rightful protectors of the systems. Early reports indicate that the populace of Saffera has been most traumatised at being forced to work in Voinian factories, previously never having to produce any ships, but rather feed the Zidagar populace.

    • All of the following will be completed by the third of May:Completed
-Production facility to make 18 Azdgari Warships in Raigar edit: per RTD sorry about not saying this earlier but I forgot. I had intended this all along.
-Application of of the Rail gun technology to the first 50mm and 100mm to construct and test prototypes on raigar
-Research into space turrets both of the Phase and Nuetron varients, edit: first prototypes completed too once again sorry about not telling up front I just assumed that you guys/gals would realize this. No I am not trying to cheat.
      Completed

This is done and since a killer beam only takes 7 days to complete I think I will tone down the amount of time for my next tech move.
-Rail gun will simply be enlarged to a 150mm and 200mm version: completed tomorrow the 4th
-Space turret prodction facilities will be completed on the 6th to make 3 Voinain Space Turrets and 6 Azdgari Space Turrets
-Upgrade to Jamming device to work well again against the Iggys, information is taken from scanning the battle of Chak, which happened a while ago. This upgrade will upgrade ships and produciton lines. This upgrade will patch up any holes found and will render the device as usefull as it was when I first put it out. This is relatively simple and will be completed on the 5th.

After the railgun enlarging is finished tomorrow this tech will take its place:
-This device will enable the ship or objects shield to be able to concentrate in one area. In other words it is kind of like the Star trek tech, if I wanted to move all my shield to the front half I would then have 2X's the shield density. If I new an object was coming in from the left and another small object form the right, the ship computers could send all the shields to those spots causeing less damage to the shields. It is limited to the shell which normal shields are in. It is very effective. completed on the 8th

      Information on the space turrets:
This was a leap from station mounted turrets. Each unit is self sustainable with its own power array and targetting system. In between the turrets is a structure that looks like a set of tinker toys because there are beams on the edges of the shapes. A mix of voinian armor and regular building materials making a strong composite for these beams. The targetting system will automatically target enemy ships but can be controled through a extremly encrypted line from ships, planets, or stations. Each turret is a real turret the kind used on ships. The turret has a light coating in voinian armor, has a small shield, an Azdgari shield recharger, a small engine to move the turret(s) into posistion, this is very slow and cannot enter hyperspace, and last but not least an Azdgari Jamming device. The disadvantages are that they are relatively expensive to make, the individual turrets are bulky due to the upgrades, they restrict traffic flow somewhat, and when disconected from the superstructure an individual turrets shileds are as good as a cresent fighter at best.

the Azdgari Space Turret: It consists of 4 turrets they are arranged in a pryamid pattern. This was the pattern determined best for phase turrets. The turrets are on the vertexes on the pyramid.

The Voinian Space Turret: This is a much larger unit due to voinian turret size. The unit is in the shape of a box and the turrets are at the vertexes. The Voinian Space Turrets have twice as many turrets as the phase ones, they have 8 turrets in all.

      Information on railguns:
These were discovered accidentally. The concept is relatively simple but effective. They are slightly more powerfull than the ones in EVNova. THey use the same concepts so if oyu want more info check out EVN.

Gordontron was getting anxious for the battle of Chak to be joined. He decided to give the Miranu two junk systems right now to prevent the enemy from getting a stron hold on them.

Gordon sent a small message saying that they would be handing over the two systems to the Mirnu in advance saying that he agreed to their terms. Gordon then sent a message to all space totally unencrypted:
      - The Azdgari race has given the systems of Diudir and Apert to the Miranu. They are no longer controlled by the Azdgari but the peaceful Miranu. Soon a Miranu government will be set up and the sytems will follow Miranu law. Until then the systems are under no ones jurisdiction. The Miranu will use these systems for peaceful means of trading and exploring. Anyone wishing to live there may if proper Miranu immagration rules are followed. Anyone wishing to take control of the systems themselves must take up the issue with the Miranu.

Message to all of Zidagar space:
We the Azdgari and the former nation of the Zidagar were never on good terms. We were fighting them for many generations. Until recently it has been all out war. Recently we conducted a joint operation to destory the renegades in the Rock. We forgave old differences and fought side by side. Then after the battle we were then both confronted by another threat, the evil empire whiches core of Igazdra is as evil as any place, and once again we joined sides. We made a truce and by the time the Zidagar government was destoryed we had fairly nice relations. The Azdgari race has no interest in taking over any Zidagar systems unless theys so wish it. We are not contacting all of Zidagar space to give you a history lesson but how to resist against OUR enemy. If a noble race called the Voinians contacts you, meet them with gifts not weapons. They are very just and are fighting for your rights. They were recently attacked uprovoked by our mutual enemy. If you want to have rights then support the Voinians who are fighting for you, a people they hardly know but they do know one thing; and that is they can tell when the rising sun of opression will come up, and they are determined to stop it.

This powerful speach and a powerful video that went a long with it worked well at changing the hearts and minds of many Zidagar.

After the battle of Chak from a command post on Raigar:
The soldiers and pilots were getting annoyed. Where the hell are those Miranu was general sentiment. No matter the government of the Azdgair sent the Voinains this message:

-To the voinian HQ heavily encrypted:
We have recently completed a new line of research which is being uploaded to your computers as you read this message. The space turrets can be used effectively to help protect your borders agains these "humans." We sudjest you use them so that you are able to send enough forces away to deal with your new enemy. On the subject of our mutual enemy the Azdgari nation will do every thing we can short of a military campaign to help you. We have already sent a message to the Zidagar tell them about your nation. Further more to help this effort we are sending all our ship movement data to your computers thorugh the same paranoidly encrypted line. We would very much like to have your latest technology even if we do not need it. We have provided everything we can for you. My scientists ran some simple tests and have concluded that a Voinain could pilot a G2 Azdara with the right training (but not a regular Azdara). As you know this ship has the firepower of a destroyer but the speed of a fighter. Please do what you see in necessary.
We have something to add about research. We are currently using all our available scientists for research and we still aren't able to research all of our ideas. If you would like to take one of them up go ahead if you click on one of the following there will be a link to the small amount of research that has been done on each:
-Hypergate technology: This would be able to link far distances with a controled worm hole.
-Azdgari Laser: This would be a fusion of phase and Voinian technology. The desired outcome would be a weapon as fast as a phase weapon but as strong as the Voinian turrets and guns. The energy would look like slightly smaller SAD's, being green and that is a good thing.
-Big Bart: This weapon would take advantage of a phenominom called over space compression. This device would harness that power and use it. The basic device would be a very large missile that would be fired at the enemy. Instead of a conventional warhead inside there would be highly compressed space. When detonated the space would radpidly expand pushing all matter out away from it in a relatively scattered manner. It would not harm ships just move them out of the way. This would be very effective for breaking up the Iggy Sphere formation.
-Research into using fuel: The ability to use fuel besides for prupulsion has always been known just never exploited. In theory one could use the fuel to do a few things:
      1. It could be used to totally recharge your shields, this would probably take one jump of fuel
      2. The energy could be added to your shields to make them stronger
      3. The energy could be directed at a single point creating a kind of laser
      4. The energy could be packaged into small canasters and droped creating a kind of land mine
      5. The energy could be used to make a small jump across a system, think of this as super afterburners
      6. The energy could be laced into armor creating a tougher armor
      7. The enrgy could be put into your turrets or guns creating a more deadly weapon
      - Research into armor: We have recently discovered a new kind of carbon. It is called a carbon tubes, that is what they are; Long tubes of linked carbon. These tubes seem to form themselves and are 10x sronger than any current material. It is very light. The only problem is that it is hard to find. Also the insides of the tube could be filled with a few strands of Zianaic-Graphite. Z-G is the latest material that is used in fusion and fission reactors to stop the chain reaction. This material has tones of "holes" meaining that it can absorb energy. In carbon tubules this would absorb energy that had gotten past the wall. It would be very effective against energy guns. Furthermore the carbon tubules are a smart substance and are able to quickly rebuild themselves.
We have decided that a trading post would be beneficial to both our nations. If you would consent to us constructing to an offshoot to Avann Outspost. We would consturct the offshoot in your style. The station would increase relations between your nation, our nation, and the rest of the cresent. We would offer things like shield compactors in exchange for commodities like metal.
Also we have decided to post a listening post in the Stror system. We have long had a few people there and now that the Iggys are starting to take over more space we want to keep an eye on them. This will alert us if the Iggys are going to launch an attack on you. You may also want to place a listening post next to these "humans" in case they find a way to go around our sensors. If you are interested please send a few ships to Stror

In raigar this is produced without the help of normal production, this is just from my new production facilities there. Movement:
I had an Azdgari Warship in Voinian territory. This will be exchanged for another that is carrying building materials.

Also 7 Azdaras, 5 G2 Azdaras, and 2 Azdgari warships with building materials to move to the Stror system to construct a listening post. The fleet will move from Raigar to Zachit to Himgro then to Stror through Vethair to Stror. The fleet will also run scans into what was Zidagar space to see what is going on.

She was practicing running full force at a wall, and running up it for as long as her momentum held out, which was for about two strides. Currently she was trying to figure out a way to land the manouver, other than flat on her back. She had read the Azdgari plan, and had approved of it. There was one small change she wanted to make, and had sent a message to the Azdgari commander about it. While there were ships in Hrekka, it was probably not a good idea to try disabling the station’s system, she would need to keep her full attention on the fire fight. Instead she would hack into the system and plant a bug in the part of the computer which controlled the self-destruct, which would let her know if the station was set to detonate. She asked for a group of ships to cover her while she did this. Other than wait for a reply from the Azdgari commander, and wait for the Miranu, there was absolutely nothing to do. Seleria hated waiting. With a sigh, she pulled herself out of her current position, flat on her back on the floor, and wandered out of Hyperion to the spaceport bar. Maybe something exciting would happen, and it was a good place to get information.

      Saffera

The Voinian fleet, frankly, was dead. Its main battleline couldnt catch the Igazras, and any ships that attempted to close would meet massed SAE fire. It was being cut to pieces, and no damage had been done to the Igadzra fleet yet, the Voinians never having gotten in range, and having no chance to do so. The battle would not last much longer at this rate, and the Hegemony would free its people from the unwanted rule of the voinians.

      Twyus

The Hegemony fleet settled over the planet, having finished the destruction of the Voinian fleet while it attempted to enter hyperspace. It looked as if they'd bombed the planets surface facilities fairly thoughly. Good thing everything of importance was underground. The Voinians luckily knew nothing of the phase crystals mined here. In some ways, the destruction would help. It would allow the expanded mines that would be built to be erected freely, with no worry as to fitting them in with existing facilities.

      ----

In the rest of Zidagar space, many saw the Azdgaris transmission. The Zidagar worried for the Azdgari people, led as they were by this apparent madman. They knew the Voinians had come and forced other Zidagar citizens to work for them, and abducted many Zidagar working to restore their reputations. They knew though, that soon the Azdgari people would be freed, and joined with the rest of the strands.

I recommend putting this on any non-moving platforms you may design. We are also enclosing information on the Igadzra's new weapon a beam that has exceptional range, amazing power and interminably massive amounts of fuel. Finally, we give you the designs to our new rockets, Infernus. These rockets have range to rival that of the Igadzra beam and more speed than any vessel in known space. They also have small masses and are effective against shields and armor. We are sending a fleet towards your space to help you re-enforce but are finding difficulty by-passing the Igadzra. We are interested in the design of your Azdgari cannon and will attempt to improve it using new developments, as soon as it is feasible. Project 1: Phase Weaponry Enhancement - 3 RTD
By incorporating phased beam and some spinal beam technology into Phase Weaponry, Igadzra and Zidagar scientists are beginning research on a new version of Phase Weaponry. Its range is extremely enhanced, and damaged is also slightly improved.

Project 2: Spinal Beam Enhancement - 4 RTD
Now that the Igadzra have phase beam technology, scientists have begun work on incorporating its technology into the Spinal Beam. The enhancement will greatly increase its damage, especially in the area of armor damage.

      Project 3: SAE-G (Gravitic) - 4 RTD
The next leap in SAE technology; the SAE-G. The SAE-G is equipped with a special gravitic warhead in addition to its slightly downsized standard warhead. This results in massive armor damage in addition to its standard shield and armor damage. Excellent for combat against Voinians, the SAE-G is extremely deadly.

Then the Igadzra fleet struck from the same range it had previously, carving into the Voinians heavy ships from long range. A slight change in the Igadzras formation was apparent. The Igadzras seemed to be rotating positions with ships from the inner shells on a regular basis.

(OOC:IE, you've been producing ships, so you do have a fleet to counter with. Your fleet in Chak wouldnt be a consideration anyway. I have my own other fleet waiting, and it's just growing)

Your help is requested in bringing to justice a Voinian fleet that has apparently escaped to your space. After attempting to sieze system of the Hegemony by force, they have made off with numerous prisoners from the miens of Twyus. The families of the prisoners wish for their kin to be returned, so that they may finish their sentences and remain citizens of the Hegemony. If they do not, they will be cast out as strandless, shaming them and their families.

    • -Rail gun will simply be enlarged to a 150mm and 200mm version: completed tomorrow the 4th completed

COMPLETED

-space turret prodction facilities will be completed on the 6th (now the 7th because the BV Armor is very, very good) to make 3 Voinain Space Turrets and 6 Azdgari Space Turrets UPGRADE TO THIS: the turrets will be fitted with new Bovine Armor.

OOC: Cosmic Rays taken out of an Encyclopedia:
"These nuclei collide with nuclei in the upper atmosphere, producing secondary cosmic rays of protons, neutrons, mesons, electrons, and gamma rays of high energy, which in turn hit nuclei lower in the atmosphere to produce more particles (see elementary particles). These cascade processes continue until all the energy of the primary particle is dissipated. The secondary particles shower down through the atmosphere in diminishing intensity to the earth's surface and even penetrate it. The size of the shower indicates the energy of the primary ray, which may be as high as 1020 electron volts (eV) or more, almost a billion times higher than the highest energy yet produced in a man-made particle accelerator;"
This new weapon would be in missile form. It would be a small fusion reactor that would be fired using 3 voinian rockets. The plasma inside would be let to explode with no controls. Besides creating a huge explosion this blast would sent out cosmic rays. These rays would kill organisms if it is un shielded. These rays would totally mangle any close shields and then using the energy of the victims shields would cascade onto other ships. In theory this could last many many times but in practice it will only be able to go through ten ships. The chains links can be very far apart (if you consider how wide the atmosphere is I think you will understnad). If the first blast hits more than one ship then the chain reaction can follow different paths or combine into one powerful link. The shield subtraction is as follows: 1st ship -100% shields and basically total destruction, 2nd -100%, 3rd -90%.......9th -20%, 10th -10%. This is very effective and even if it is destroyed early the reaction will still go off. One way to counter this is to be spread so far out that the rays cant be worked into a chain, this must be very spread out so this is primarily a formation buster weapon. Another is to have enough speed to be able to escape the area where it will detonate. Consdering cosmic rays are around light speed out running is not an option. Started on the 5th completed on the 12th.(is that enough time?)

Ship production: I cannot say since the battle of Chak has not been decided so I cannot say how many or where my ships have been produced. The only thing I know are the ships produced on Raigar through the new production facility. I will have those stats up later.

      10)SAE Upgrade
An upgrade to the basic SAE chassis is in order, ti improve its tracking abilities, streamline its production, and allow for newer warheads to replace those currently in use with ease. A low powered LIDAR array will be intergrated with the outer shell of the SAE, the low power and short duration meant for use ensuring the array can be fitted in the SAE shell. The comm systems currently in every SAE will be enhanced allowing remote control from a Hegemony fleet, protected by randomly modulating frequencies, ensuring the enemy can not gain control through any hacking efforts. Data gleaned from the Zidagar jamming systems will also ensure the SAEs tracking efforts are above what they where even without the other upgraded systems.
      Started:06/5/03 Completion 08/5/03

      11)FTL Drive Upgrade
The Zidagar and Azdgari have always had faster ftl engines, partly due to having lower ship masses, but also due to having slightly better ftl drive technology. Using data gained from the Zidagar Empire, the Hegemony is looking to improve the engines of the Igadzra ships so that they can keep up with the Zidagar designs. Work will need to be done to make this a working proposition, but progress is expected to be steady
