The armor reverse-engineering was complete. Excellent. Now production would begin of the first U.E. Cruiser, complete with Neutron batteries, Hunter missiles, a fighter bay, and now Voinian armor. It would be superior in all ways to the Carrier, and would work well with the second Destroyer upgrade Banon had planned. The Neutron weapons would, of course, be rushed immediately into mass production, or as mass as it could get, similar to the U.E. Carrier in it's heyday. Banon was pacing behind his desk once again, pipe gently smoking. Everything seemed to be going well, despite the absence of Hardee and Brian. The U.E. Cruiser, combined with the Destroyer upgrade he had planned, would likely tip the scales of war in the U.E.'s favor. And Sol Station would be complete by the next week — if the Carrier output were to be replaced solely by Cruisers, there would be an output of one cruiser per (2 RTDs) from the station alone. If all Carrier output was replaced by Cruisers...the Carriers would be obsolete anyway, and Cruisers only took a bit longer to build. But there was still no message from Hardee. He would worry about that later.

-Gordontron Travels witht the new ships that are to add to the fleet. The newly trained Azdgari pilots and ships served as escorts. Flying along side the 10 Azdgari warships per, 15 G2 Azdaras, 5 Azdgari Aradas, and 25 G1 Azdaras he felt more like an equal rather than a better. He knew that the council would not approve of his flying around and going into battle without their consent, but at this moment he was happy and did not care. He looked over at the G2 Azdaras and knew that they could never replace the G1 in his heart. (which he is flying. The Green Menace is what Gordontron ship is called. (It is a g1 Azdara with speed upgrades, all of the new tech, a shield compactor, and extra phase swivel cannons.) Then they began the short jumps from Xarnes to Muid (this happened yesterday). They arived there and saw that the battle group or war party had landed on the planet to conceal their presence. Gordontron and the new members of the battle group flew down to the planet. They all assembled in the rarely used assembly area. It is massive resembling something of a greek ampa theater on steroids. It holds thousands of people and was made when Muid was colonized as an outpost long ago. Gordontron walks out onto a platform and the great place fell completely silent.-------

Seleria was in a bad mood when Kirk finally showed up, those chairs were torture. Walking in silence, listening to Kirk talk, she managed to walk off the cramp in her back. He finally turned to her, asking if she had anything to add. As usual, she did.
“Actually, yes, I do.” Seleria said with a smile. Kirk raised his eyebrows. Her voice didn't sound annoyed because she wasn't annoyed. “I noticed several times that you referred to the Azdgari as ‘my government’. I would like to correct you on that. Yes, I am working for the Azdgari currently, but I am not a member of their government. You might not have recognized my name, but you might recognize the name of my ship, Hyperion , I fight the renegades in the North Tip often.
“I think I have heard that name before,” replied Kirk thoughtfully.
“I want to join the fight against the renegades. I will probably fly with the Azdgari fleet once it arrives, but I will fight. As for me now, though, I’m sure you have more important issues to worry about, I will return to my ship. I have a speeder here.” With that, Seleria gave him her transmission code so he could send her a transmission directly to Hyperion if need be, and left.

SWARM Missiles: An upgrade for the old pursuit missiles, SWARM missiles will exhibit tracking systems on a par with insect information-processing capabilities, thus making them very hard to jam or dodge. Since the highly-accurate sensor suite is also very small, a larger warhead has been proposed for the SWARM, allowing it to remain at 1 ton in mass. (Begun: 4/11/03) (End: 4/16/03)

CycleSWARM Missile Launchers: A parallel research effort to the SWARM missile design, the cycleswarm devices are to be built on the following idea. A circular assembly, loaded with every onboard SWARM missile, spins, bringing each missile successively in front of a firing mechanism. The cycleswarm firing computers, built along the same insectile rapidity as the missiles they fire, can quickly decide what targets are priority for missiles; this means that each missile could be fired at different targets, and none of the extremely fast reload time would be lost. Gordontron's fleet apprehensively jumped into the Qerid system. His generals became twitchy as the Zidagar ships came up to escort their ships to the center of the system. Some of the Azdara pilots dispersed into defensive posistions. Gordontrons computer beeped with an incoming message: forwarded from Xarnes computer:

I received your message and have judged according to your position that I will not be able to reach your fleet before you attack The Rock. I think I will stay with the Zacha unless you or Kirk can think of a way to put Hyperion to better use. I will meet your fleet before the attack on North Tip Station one way or another.

Yes Gordontron thought she would not be able to meet us here. Hmm I think we need some fuel. Our ships will be running low when we get to The Rock. Getting fuel would be asking too much from these Zidagar. Yes I guess our ships will be fine. Here I need to send a message. The troops will get restless if we stay here on the verge of renegade territory.

To Zachit government/Seleria/and Zidagar:
Our battle group has arived in Qerid and we are awaiting the right moment to lanuch our attack. Seleria: We recieved your message. Do what ever you want. Zachit and Zidagar please move your fleets into the ready posistion asap. The more time we wait the more problems crop up and the chance of failure increases. We await you.

The message was received, and because this was about an attack, was brought to the president. Alenia looked at it and stuck her head out of the office handing a piece of paper to someone waiting there. They immediately headed to the communications building while she wrote a reply to the Zachit.

We have sent messages to all of our systems, and 10 fighters will come from each of the Miranu systems, plus others who have not been assigned to defensive positions. Altogether we send 100 to meet you at DSN - 6116. We hope this is enough, and we hope your attack goes well.

The message was sent, and the communications building had sent the messages to the fighters, which responded they were on their way. 100 Crescent fighters from various parts of Miranu space flew up and hyperjumped towards DSN - 6116.

Alenia tapped her fingers thoughtfully, looking at a research request in front of her. It was about defense pods. She nodded, writing a short note that they could do this. She looked up to her planets skies, wondering how many of those Crescent fighter would come back. They would probably have to build more.

Research:
New Defense pods - Turning the defense pods into more of a weapon, it adds a targeting system to them. It also gives the pods more power, but makes them slightly heavier. But because it was originally built for defense of the traders, it will only target those already menacing the ship that has this equipped.

Gordontrons fleet tenatively mixed with the Zidagar fleet that had just arived in the system. It looked to be around 150 ships in total. They jumped into the lanuch point at DSN-4922. Gordontron ralied his ships and ordered the jump into the lanuch point.
Gordontron held back after all his troops watching his ships go. There was something majestic about seeing 80 Azdgari Warships, 205 Azdaras, 135 Azdgari Aradas, 45 G2 Azdaras slip into hyperspace. He then jumped the feeling of hyperspace in a Azdara is enthralling. Gordontron gave the orders to regroup with the Zidagar. Both fleets were on high alert and very jumpy. Gordontron flew his ship into one of his commanders Azdgari Warship to give last orders. They decided that they should spilt up into 3 forces. One driving force and two flanking forces. The driving force would attack and then withdraw luring the renegades between the two other groups who would then attack form all sides. If that plan failed they would just follow the old quote: "Chaos is our ally, discipline our mortal foe." Just then the governer at Raigar messaged:
"Sir we have 10 Azdgari warships, 15 G2 Azdaras, 5 Azdgari Aradas, 25 G1 Azdaras who were just finished the last segments of training at your disposal."

Gordontron sent the Raigar governer this message: "Blockade the Niwom system with the new recruits. Tell them that it is highly likely that they will see action soon." -end

"Now that we have gotten that blockade up we are fully ready to attack. Send this message to the Zachit and Seleria:" -Gordontron
--The Zidagar and my battle group are on the verge of DSN-2131, the system that Contains the Rock. We need to attack as soon as you are ready because they will soon be able to detect our presence with sensors. I have blockaded Niwom because apparently you were unable to spare any ships. We need to attack asap. Time is of the essence.---

Gordontron then left his commanders ship and waited for the message from the Zachit to move out.

Chapter 10: Standard Bearer

Admiral Vichama looked at the chronometer above the main viewplate of his flagship, the K.A.S. Disciple , the Alliance lazira that had been at Bakoom and at Unobot. The device was currently displaying the time remaining for the Disciple 's jump through hyperspace: 2 MINUTES. Vichama turned to look at Commander Xol ek Sindrel, who had recently arrived from DSN-4611. The admiral smiled regretfully. He had since abandoned his idiotic ideas of overthrowing Zathe. There's just no reason to, really. Look at the way he breeds loyalty. He's made the Alliance something worthy of respect. These people have real pride in their nation, real belief in their leader. He turned away from the commander and smiled again. As do I.

The chronometer reached zero, and 6 Laziras, 30 Aradas, and 50 Crescent Fighters jumped into the Duios system in a wall formation. Vichama wasted no time. There were marauding rogue captains from Neslaut present, and they were harassing several Duiosian freighters.

"All ships: engage cloaking devices and move to intercept the pirates. You are to fire all weapons on the renegades and demonstrate to the people of Hindros that we are against all renegades and that we are here in their interest. Engage enemy ships now."

The Alliance fleet moved quickly and efficiently. SADs slammed into the hull of one of the marauding aradas while a hail of phase fire lanced across the shields of a crescent fighter, which soon encountered a lethal volley of dispersal rockets. Before the other arada could escape, Vichama himself fired the fatal SADs that eliminated it.

"Good work men. Lieutenant, open a channel to Hindros. Citizens and Idealists of the system of Duios, I, Alliance Admiral Vichama, greet you as a soldier of the Akrayhek Alliance. We are here to free you from the domination of the hateful renegades, and we offer you membership in the Alliance. Such membership includes military protection and the natural freedoms cherished by the other Alliance members of Akrayhek, Bakoom, and Unobot—such freedoms such as self-government and all rights as listed in the Gadzair Convention shall be respected and defended unto death. What is your response?"

"This is High Idealist Tra'jun, leader of Hindros. You speak wisdom, Admiral Vichama. On behalf of the people of Hindros, I accept your offer of membership with the Alliance. You may land at spaceport nine."

"Excellent. I shall meet with you soon to formalize the treaty. Your shipyards will of course be nationalized by the Alliance."

"Not a problem. Ideology Hall, in the capital."

"Right then. I shall meet you there, Tra'jun."

"And I you, Vichama."

OOC: I don’t know where we are, because the fleet will still be travelling, so I will replace the system name with <?>.

Alone, Hyperion waited quietly in the <?> system. The Azdgari upgrade made Hyperion faster in hyperspace than the Zachit ships, so, much to Seleria’s annoyance, she had to wait for the fleet after every hyperjump if she wanted to stay with them. Seleria had been timing how much faster Hyperion was, so when they reached DSN-6116, she could jump later on so the entire fleet would arrive at the same time. She had recently received a message from Gordontron and the Azdgari, telling them that the Azdgari and Zidagar forces were in position, and that attacking soon would be crucial. The message was set to be addressed to the Zachit as well, so there was no reason for her to hail the fleet commander and tell about it. Ever since she had left Outpost Zachit, though, Seleria had been extremely restless. There would be a fight soon, a big one, and she was excited. Almost every minute of waiting for the Zachit forces was spent testing the new Azdgari upgrade. She had to know exactly how it turned, and get the feel for the new agility it gave her ship. She was quickly adjusting to the upgrade. There was a sudden flash and the Zachit fleet appeared in the system around Hyperion ,and Seleria noticed for at least the hundredth time since they had left Zachit, that hers was the only Crescent Warship in the fleet, and worried that it might attract unwanted attention. She didn’t want to be swarmed by to many fighters, but that would be unlikely if she stayed in the middle of the Zachit fleet, as she intended to do, until there were only larger ships left. As the Zachit ships once again turned and jumped into hyperspace, Seleria and Hyperion waited for a while, to test her theory on jumping later than the fleet. She wanted her timing to be exact for the final jump.
