Okay, I give up. Nobody wins, but Shrout still has 4 free drinks because of his perseverance. The answer I was looking for was perchloric acid; that was what my chem teacher always called the "queen mother of acids."
Well, I am leaving for a couple days to visit my g/f, who lives 5.5 hours driving away. And while she does have access to the 'net, who wants to go online when you're around a real, live girl? Anyway, most everybody is welcome to pop behind the bar and mix their own drinks; I also expect any damage done to my stores beyond normal drinking will be paid for in full or replaced by the time I return, else I take it out of said perp's hide.
