I've been implimenting QT movies into several HTML test documents lately, with great success (see (url="http://"http://saberstudios.evula.net/3dimages/CargomasterSpin.html")here(/url). I've got a present for you in the source code, EVula :p). But unfortunately, the movie files are plain huge in size, and not acceptable and practical as far as using them on web pages. In the animation link above, I've removed the control strip to make the movie function like an animated GIF. But I prefer using QT movies over animated GIFs, so long as I can somehow compress the movies to an acceptable size. The Cargomaster spin movie alone is 600k; way too big. Any tips as to how I can shrink movies to smaller sizes, or are animated GIFs still the preferred choice for website animations? If animated GIFs weren't so grainy, I'd have to problem using them. QT just has my type of quality.
Live long and prosper.
