I copied a silent self-abort mission from the Auroran missions section. Then I just made up an outfit to start the mission. The mission applies the payval when it self-aborts (this is in one of the flag fields) so the effect is immediate. I even got to Gli-Tech (see my EV Nova Questions thread).**
Right. I did that same thing, but I decided that being able to buy a Fake ID and keep it was a bad thing, and the $0010 (I think that's the right flag) flag is broken (the outfit that removes itself after buying) when you trigger a mission from the OnPurchase field. To solve that, I had the mission remove the outfit from you, but that didn't disable the Buy field, so you could buy infinite Fake ID's at once. So my solution was to have an ncb as the Availability field !b9996, then the mission sets b9996 and removes the outfit. Voila, Buy button disabled. Now, to let you buy it again, I had a cron that simply removes the b9996 flag if you have it. Now, when you take off and land again, you can buy it again. It simulates the behaviour of maps just fine, only it requires an ncb and a cron.
