Only thing...did you make the ships 256 colors? The 1.6 meg d/l file seems to say you didn't. Other that that, excellent job for a first run at Mechanisto. That great somewhat free, incredibly under-rated program. PEACE YO!

Thanx for the replies, and to OctoberFrost: Yes I probably will do some custom orders, but I don't know how many yet (I may get involved in a few projects...)
Oh, and yes Mechanisto ships

I am (hopefully) gettting Ray Dream Studio 5.5 soon, maybe Bryce along with it so look for more ships and maybe planetary pics coming soon (I already have 2 other ships done...just waiting a couple more days to upload them :))

Kwanzar: Only thing...did you make the ships 256 colors?

No, I did them in thousands...I'm not exactly sure how to switch Mechanisto to 256 colors (is it in preferneces or somethin?) to render, but when I figure it out I will re-upload a smaller version

If anyone out there knows how to switch Mechanisto to only 8 bit, please reply

You can't switch Mechanisto to 256 colors. You can d/l Graphic Converter to make the sprites 256 colors. Other programs you can use are Photoshop, Color it, etc. Also, dither the sprites when finished, to give it a better, less blocky look. If you need any Mechanisto help, just ask. PEACE YO!

Graphic Converter is a great program. It gives all sorts of info on a graphic, and it let's you change all sorts of things, not just the colors.

BTW, You can usually find a shareware version of it on almost any Mac mag disk.

I've just updated my page and added a new ship - the Cutler.

I've also added a poll (please use it :)) and a counter/tracker

I've also decided to do custom graphics (I'm not starting yet..probably next week). Also, expect a revamp to the page tomorrow, a few new pages, maybe 2 more ships.

I updated my page again last night. I was unable to announce it over the board when I got done, becuase I had to leave right after, but you can still go check it out now ;).

I revamped the page, added 13 planets. I sectioned everything on my page so it loads faster. Some pages don't have anything on them except a note from me and a Coming Soon graphic, but most pages have something on them

Go check out the new planets, expect a few more ships in the next couple days (I've finsihed 2 of them, I'm gonna wait till I get the whole set done before I release them :))

Yet another update...

Today I added:

New Asteroid graphics
New Escape Pod Graphics.

I just whipped these up in a few minutes so I could give myself more time before the next big update - probably midweek - where I will add a new set of ships to the shipyard, maybe some weapons and possibly some new outfits.

The Asteroid pics along (in my opinion) are worth the trip to my site, I love em

Oh, and they are now available in EV, and EV/O plug-in format along with PICT format.

This is the Cutler type ship set, but much better than the original Cutler design (which I re-modeled BTW).

You seem to read my mind Jive...

I am planning on doing a lot more work in the Weapons, Miscellaneous and Planets section...I just got Bryce 4, so Landing Picts should be up sometime (I'm still learning how to use the program )

Anyways, weapon sets for both of the ship sets should be done in a week or so...I'm not sure though, many things are going on at my house so I will have limited access to the computer.

lovely graphics, the site is a little wordy (too much text) but thats ok. how about pod people (instead of bubble people or whatever u were calling them). and i like the rebel frigate, but with a little work it would be very impressive. it is a little to white, and i think terran vessels should be darker, with hull patches.

on another note, i hope you have not yet bought Raydream. I own 5.0, and although it was worth the money (i got a very nice discount) i wouldnt recommend it. my 2˘ worth.

About Raydream...I am still debating whether or not to get it...I loved it when I used it at school, though I don't know how much I would like it now that I have Infini-D...

If I can get it for $30 or less on Ebay, I think I'll just get it...I'll find something useful for it to do, especially if it is dirt cheap

Oh yeah, if you can get it at around $30 bucks go for it. Definitely worth it, just not worth $400 or whatever retail is. I paid over $100 so now I'm feeling a little gyped... anyway tell me how you like it when and if you get it. I've heard Amorphium (something like that) by Play is pretty good, but then I have a friend who works for them...

I updated my page again....

Added three new ships to the shipyard. I also divided the shipyard into sets and singles pages...this should improve loading times

I also added 12 landing picts that I made with Bryce 4...I also divided the planets and landscapes into 2 separate pages...

In other news, my page may be moving soon...I just have to find a good server to store my .sit files (I have already moved all my pages...the server they are on is very fast, but they don't allow .sit, .hqx, .bin, .zip etc. on their server...)

Still more news...but this is bad :frown:

I'm closing my Custom graphics shop...if you have already ordered, don't worry, your graphics will be made...to see how they are coming along, go to the Custom graphics page, then follow the link at the bottom...The reason I'm closing, is becuase I think I want to pursue other EV-related projects and I don't have enough time while making other peoples graphics...there will still be free graphics coming every week or so though, so don't worry about that

I've moved my page over to Angel Cities today...

Totally new layout and graphics (all done by me). The only bad thing about the new page is it doens't let me put on the top menu bar anymore...

I added 1 new outfit to the Weapons and Outfits page, more coming soon...especially since I have a fast server to work with
