    • Tell about your space battles

I was wondering what everyones most exciting and interesting (or one of the most exciting and interesting) battles were. Example: One battle I had was when several Zidaras attack me and my five Azdgari Aradas, I was in a captured Azdgari Warship....

    • ohhhh man, here we go again. This was along time ago so i dont remember it very well. I was doing some mission string and the people wanted me to go and destroy a renegade fleet, so i said "k" and set off thinking it would be a few wimpy ships. I was wrong. I dont remember how many there were or what i did WRONG, all i remember is that i came back from the battle with 1% armor left. Sweet. 😄

    • i was marauding crescent space with an Igazra when i went through Zidigar, there were 5 zidaras there. though i won, i barely got out alive.

    • Okay, good. I would like it if people posting here would put in a bit more description into their space battles.

    • Way back when I had under a hundred million credits and flew a freight courior with crecent weapons I took the kill dreadnought mission. This was over a year ago so I can't remember the details but I just went straight at the dreadnought with PHASE turrets blazing and before I new it I was alive and the dreadnought wasn't. I think I got lucky. REALLY lucky.

And another time in my maxed out with crecent goodies Igazra, I went to Yandros and took the mission to liberarate the Hinwar. I go to the system (forgot exact name) and 3 cruisers and 7 frigates along with a bounty hunter cresent warship (after all, I had dominated over a third of the galaxy) were waiting for me I took out the bounty hunters while losing only a few shield points. Then I went head to head with the vonions one ship at a time until my armor was half gone. I waited and recharged my shields andrepeated the process. But more and more Vonions kept jumping in. After about 2 hours there were no more Vonions. With great satisfaction I landed at the station, and THE COMPUTER FROZE !!!!!! So then I repeated the battle and landed victorious once again and the computer didn't freeze. But now I know to use the Monty Python and Emaghla weapons.

    • My most interesting battle was 'attack the Rock' the zachit mission.
Me and my Zachit buddies went to rock and started blowing up renergades. On renergade warship was unlucky enogh to come face to face with me and 5 😄 miruna gunships and we pounded the hell out of the renergade son of a b***h (opps sorrey :frown: ) any way I was using MAGMA so the whole screen was filled with explosions. I ended up fighting a renegade warship that had 100% shields while I had 2% armour but I still won 🆒
I returned to outpost Zachit victorious 😄

      ------------------

    • Burst after burst of pulse fire, and I just couldn't hit the little devil! He flew around me in circles, mocking me and yet also liable to turn his mad swooping into an attack run at any minute. I dodged and circled as fast as I could, and thanked my lucky stars that he was alone... if he hadn't been alone, I would have been cut to pieces for sure.

Tiring of his little game, my attacker turned more sharply than I would have thought was possible. The harsh, alien sunlight reflected off his elegantly tapered green wings. I admired this in an abstract sort of way, but only briefly because barely a heartbeat later, he was headed straight for me, aiming to kill. I ducked involuntarily, but also spun as fast as I could, just in time to see him receding at top speed.

Sucker, I thought. Never fly in a straight line while in combat. I aimed both my pulse pistols almost without thinking, and fired. One beam went wild, but the other hit! The acrid smell of singed tailfeathers filled the bar, along with an outraged squawk.

And that, my friend, is how you make a space parrot respect you.

    • You're no fun at all.

    • pshhhh.. have some humor. I thought that was classic 🙂

anyway... my most interesting battle was trying to take over the Council's planet.... it didn't work, but I actually survived the first wave of 20 crescent warships (fire, afterburner, fire more, afterburner, fire fire fire!) 🙂

Nah.... my battles are all so boring because the computer AI is kinda stupid..... one mission where I had to destroy a renegade fleet was kinda tough.... 5 renegade crescent warships, all sent their lil' fighters out after me. barely survived.

    • Which one?? I remember in the Nebulea missions when they send you after a renegade fleet that has been getting suspicious.. I thought that was pretty awesome.. Had about 20 crescant fighters circling me....

Ah, Zachit Mission to The Rock. I remember when this was easy, but this
weekend there were just too many crescent fighters for my Arada to handle.
I was about to give up and get a big ship and load up on Miranu Defense
Systems (my answer to 1.0.2 fighter swarms) when I made a serendipidous
mistake: I accidently pressed the U key.

The cloak came up, the fighters were all "where did he go?" and I sneaked up
behind 'em, decloaked, fired a couple of disp rocket, and then recloaked as they paniced. Muahahaha! The poor bastards never had a chance after that.

So this weekend, at The Rock, I learned that the Cloaking Device is actually
good for something. I had forgotten all about it.

So that's how you beat that mission. Previously, I was in my beefed up Crescent Warship and, in v1.0.2, I didn't have enough firepower to handle that many fighters. Its rather embarrasing to lose such a powerful ship...

    • There are two battles that stand out.

The first was the first time i got to destroy the Dreadnaught(a long time ago). I'd seen it before, but never in action. I had just gotten a UE Destroyer for the mission(the best voinian-fighting ship i could afford at the time) I went there, and attacked the Dreadnaught like I would any other Voinian ship. After one run, I had taken 7 rockets and several nuetron blasts, so i decieded to het the h**l out of there. But the Interceptors finished me off before i could. Luckily, i wasn't using strict play.

So then I went around the UE frontier for awhile until i accmulates several missions:
      Destroy Voinian task force (x2)
      Destroy Voinian supply Convoy (x2)
      Destroy Voinian Battle group

All in the same system as the Dreadnaught

Plus I acmulated a fleet of captured Helians, a few hired Kraits, a captured UE Fighter, and a hired Turncoat.

      That's seven fleets.

That was one HUGE battle. I couldn't go anywhere without seeing death and destruction. One of the hardest parts was avoiding the stray rockets that were everywhere. The dreadnaught may be pretty tough, but it doesn't last lond with 8 destroyers including me ganging up on it at once, with UE Carriers providing support with Hunter missles.

Try that sometime. It takes a little fun out of killing the Dreadnaught, but that is the biggest, most caotic battle i have EVER seen. It kicked - oh yeah, i'm not supposed to say that.

The other one was attacking the rock with a hevily modified UE Cruiser. By fleet was an Idzara, three Zidaras, two Lizaras, and an Adzari Arada. I didn't have the cloaking device anymore. So when the crecent fighters mobbed me, i waited until several of them passed under my stern at the same time and dropped 4 defence pods on them. I was also using Magma, so that was sweet. The only survivors were me, one Gunship, my Idzara, and one of my Zidaras. Except then a Renegade arada jumped into the system and finished off that last one - it only took one Dipsy Rocket and it was toast.

I fought that battle last night.

One last thing - I may be very experienced at EV/O, but i'm pretty new to the message board. So I'd really appreicate it if someone would explain to me which manuver the Monty Python is. Thanks.

    • An old man is rocking in a chair, outside a general store, with a pouch of tobacco in his lap, and I pile of spit on the ground. Best battle eh sonny? Well, there was this one time, when me and Red... He drones off, and you remember the time when you and your buddy Jake, went and kicked the crap out of some renegades, at north tip station, those were the days.

I remember messing around with the Adzgari, and getting at least 5 different rescue personel missions, all to the same system. There were at least 7 Igazras, and more Zidaras, than I could count. Everybody was mad at me, until the Iggys started pounding the crap out of the Ziddys, and vice-versa. But meanwhile, there were at least 20 Zidagar Fighters, all trying to kill me, and poor little me, with my 3 Igazra Escorts, 2 Adzgari Warship Escorts, and my UE Cruiser Escort. Some of the fighters couldn't even get out of the ships, because there were so many ships on the screen. I was using spacemines, and defense pods, and ended up blasting the hell out of the little fighters, with my defense pods, and then dropping 10 mines, all I had, in the middle of where the Iggys and the Ziddys were fighting. In the end, after almost all the fighting, there was an Igazra, and my UE Cruiser left, and before I could stop it, my UE Cruiser went and got itself killed by the Igazra. I had about 7% armor left in my UE Cruiser, and the Igadzra had almost 90% shields. I pulled the monty python on it, until it had 3% shields, and then went head to head. I won, but I omy armor status was 0%. I was really lucky. There were over 10 disabled warships in the area, and all 10 of the UE fighters were disabled. I raised my combat status from dangerous, to Ultimate too. At one time, I saw 8 Azdaras, and 4 Zidagar Fighters take on an Igazra. The Igazra came out with 7% shielding, and then crashed into a space mine and died. It was cool.
