    • Any tips on killing Vornians

I have just been playing EVO and have got omto the advanced UE missions e.g Atacking the vornian systems, and I have got an Igazra and completed all other central objectives except the Pushing back the vornian empire one.
Please post surgestions on killing Vornians
It would be very usefull 😄

      ------------------

    • uhhh, just go get the Emalgha cannons, they do the most damage to voinians, or you could always do the Monty Python maneouver

Life is evil, live with it

    • Well, I don't know anything about killing vornians, but maybe some tips on destroying Voinian ships will suffice.

1: Weapons most effective are: Rockets, Emalgha Cannons/"Turrets", space mines (boooooo), hunter missiles (too little damage for my tastes), and neutron weapons

2: Phase weaponry does little damage per shot, but if you have enough cannons or turrets you can do some damage.

3: Here's a real tip: Purchase one or two rocket launchers, make sure you have room for rockets, and go after the Voinians. Since Voinian Heavy Fighters and Interceptors will normally have leftover rockets in them after they are disabled, just go around the battleground boarding those ships and taking the rockets whenever you run out. (This is also a good strategy for the Dreadnought and it's Interceptors)

4: When in doubt, run!. Your shields and armour will almost always recharge faster than any Voinian ship (including the fighters). You can circle around them at a distance and just wait for your shields to recharge, then come back in swinging.

These are just the bits of advice off the top of my head, maybe I'll think of more later.

      ------------------
One cannot walk down an avenue, converse with a friend, enter a building, browse beneath the sandstone arches of old towns without meeting with an instrument of time.

Time is visible in all places.

Clock towers, wristwatches, church bells divide years into months, months into days, days into hours, hours into seconds, each increment of time marching after the other in perfect succession. And beyond any particular clock, a vast scaffold of time, stretching across the universe, lays down the law of time equally for all.

In this world, a second is a second is a second.

Time moves forward with unwavering regularity.

      Time is an infinite ruler.

      Time is absolute.

    • At least while you're only dealing with Voinians, get rid of you're phase turrents. They do almost no damage to Voinian armor. Same with all Crecent/Miran weapons, except for Pursuit Missles. But Hunter Missles and rockets are still better, for Voinians. They're slow enough so you really don't need something as fast and well guided as a pursuit missle anyway. Space mines work great, but they take up so much mass that you can't carry many of them, and it would proably get pretty anoying having to ake a trip from the Voinian Frontier to Freeport every time you ran out of ammo. But I've nerver tried it. aS far as turrents are concerened, Emagara turrents are the best, and with a RCS upgrade you really won't have to worry too much about being attacked from behind. Or you could just get 4 Emagara Turrents and 1 blaze turrent, because the only Voinians that will be able to get behind you're back would be Heavy Fighters or Intetrceptors. But with an RCS upgrade, even they will be hard pressed to get you from behind.

    • i don't understand why everyone keeps saying "phase weapons suck against armor." have any of you actually flown a voinian cruiser into the crescent? phase weapons don't do as much damage per shot but considering the rate of fire, a single phase cannon is typically just as effective as a neutron cannon. and because all voinian ships are slooooow, all those ships and fighters with all those phase weapons will make mincemeat of a v. cruiser in seconds.

that said, an underrated weapon against the voinians is the needle launcher. sad's work in 1.01 if there aren't any asteroids; they don't work at all in 1.02. the rocket trick (plundering v. fighters) is also effective, but it often means getting in neutron range. i'm planning on flying an azgardi warship w/azdaras against the dreadnought soon.

uhmm, because they only do 4 damage to armor?

The cannons have almost the same fire rate (phase=24, nuetron=25), but, for some reason, nuetron turrets don't fire twice as fast as the cannons, even though you can CLEARLY see that nuetron turrets have two cannons, not one.

Have you ever fought the dreadnought? it launches three rockets at once, your Azdaras well get killed in about 5 seconds.

      oh, BTW it's Azdgari, NOT Azgardi, it's 1.0.1, NOT 1.01, and it's 1.0.2 NOT, 1.02.
