HOW DO YOU CAPTURE IGAZRAS AND AZDGARI WARSHIPS???????
------------------
Step one: Get a UE Cruiser
Step two: Get four sheild upgrades
Step three: Disable, board and capture
It's that simple. UE Cruisers are the best ships in the game for capturing other ships. I get minimum 65% capture chance against Igazdras, and 75% vs virtually anything else.
If you want, you can get the Marines instead. They really help. I'm pretty sure you can fly a Laizra or similar ship and capture big stuff if you have the marines.
Oh, and the UE Cruiser and the marines are both things you need to do UE mission lines in order to get them.

MrT is right, marines do help, and you can fet a lot of them to help you. To get the marines, you have to talk to D'Erlon at outpost alpha, beta ? After you talk to him he gives you marines. Abort the mission, and talk to him again, you get more marines. Do this until your cargo space is full. I know this works in other missions, including the Igadzra recruitment, but It might just be a flaw in my program, because I have messed around with ResEdit a lot! Also, I am running the F-25 plug at the same time, and that is really screwwwwwed up. Whatever works for you

Wrong. The ship with the biggest crew is the Voinian Dreadnought, with around 2000 crew. But with the purchasable ships, you are still wrong. The Voinian Cruiser has around 200 more crew than the UE Cruiser. But for the most effective, you are right about the marines. A uE Cruiser + marines beats the Voinian Cruiser's crew easily.
About the D'erlon, you must complete the Emalgha missions, then the Hinwar guy will talk to you at Ghammol Station. Then you will go through some missions, and be told to find an army. Go to Outpost Gamma and you will be able to talk to him. He will give you a mission. As soon as he gives you it, abort and take it again (As there has been a bug with this mission and that is a known cure :)). You then be taken on a series of missions and you will start the ffalll of the Voinian empire.

how do i get the emalgha missions?
------------------
Ben, sur Emalgha, tiens
Well, on Emalgha, of course
In fact, you've got to go on Emalgha, kill enough Voinians to be able to land on the F3 planet (forgot the name), and there it starts. Bonne chance (or, as would say d'Erlon, Bon chance)

OK, I concede that I forgot the Dreadnaught. But who would want a Dreadnaught? The thing handles like a tank on tranquilizers.

Sheilds count too. I don't know the stats on sheilds vs each other, but I do know that even without the marines, but with four sheild upgrades, I get about a 10-15% capture chance on a Voinian Cruiser. I confess that I don't know at what point the capture chance indicates equality between the ships, but I think it's below that.
