    • The Sounds of Muzak

I've been trying to find out: How does one implement new sounds in plug-ins? In EV-Edit you can use the sounds EV:O currently has, but how do you enter new sounds? How about the sound it uses at the startup scene? Or the sound it plays when you land on a planet?

      ------------------

    • ResEdit, ResEdit, ResEdit.

Just open the sounds file up in resedit, or whatever resource editing program you have, and cut and paste your new sounds over the original sounds. But remember to keep their ID's the same or else when you play it, it will sound very peculiar.

      ------------------

    • So I copy a sound of my own, using ResEdit, and paste it into the EVO sounds file? Or my plug-in? If I use the EVO Sounds file, it won't be permanently installed into my plug-in, and if anyone else plays it with a different copy of EV:O, the plug-in will use the old sounds file. Right?

Go to the Addons section and download EVOBAE - this annotated version of the EVO Bible should give you all the info you might need.
