The ship designs are quite interesting, but I, for one, find the heavy dithering of the spin graphics to be very offputting. Any chance that you could do a reduced-dithering version? Thanks!

This isn´t about the graphics in MAGMA, as I think it´s great, but the audio. The blasts and souch need more low frequency bass. That would be great! You could make an extra plug-in that fixed that, so that people with crappy computer speakers or the ones that don´t like it can choose if they want it or not. If ift´s not too much asked, please do it, cuz it realy would give you more of the feeling of "being there". Thanks, (MAGMA is great!).

For some reason my computer can't open any of the MAGMA programs. It says that it cant find the program that created it. I have never had this kind of problems with other plugs. Please help!!!!!!!!!

I agree, the sounds are great! It's amazing how the entire EVO atmosphere feels different with MAGMA. Even needle missiles are frightening now! I'm serious about the dithering, though. Less dithering does not necessarily make graphics "crappy"; in many cases it can be a great improvement. With many of my graphics, I've found that using 25-50% dithering in Photoshop looks much better and less speckled than 100% , without noticeable banding or other problems. Nonetheless, it's a great plug!

I'll see what I can do about a "Bass up the sound, man!" plug for MAGMA...

Hey Glenn!
I remember having a small argument with you when you were testing Secession -- I liked my ship graphics 'crunchier' while you were making them sleek. I have to say that I think David's made the right choice to complement the overall mood that Magma sets for EVO. And, to be fair, your designs work for Secession.
Crunchy! It's not just for granola anymore! Or something.

Can you please upload this plugin (with description) to the EVO Add On Files archive?

Hi, Xopher! Indeed, graphics style is a matter of personal taste, and certainly, MAGMA is a "crunchier" style than my own usual aesthetic. That's not bad, though. I'm just talking about, for example, some of the comm graphics. There is a certain amount of dithering that will be necessary for the proper crunchiness, but the graphics have more than that minimal amount. Remember all of the posts long ago complaining about the dithering of EVO's own graphics? This is the same sort of thing. Dithering * crunchiness * a bad thing.
But I'm just nitpicking. MAGMA has really changed the EVO experience for me; I've started a new pilot just so that I can experience it in full! Great work!
Glenn
PS: Would there be any interest in a set of MAGMA-style Secession graphics (as a separate plug, of course)?
Im with Glenn on this one; I was flying around in a Crescent Warship (my mistake) and the dithering was a bit overpowering. I think a slightly smoother look would help an already quality plug be even better.
