    • I need some serious FF help!

I'm still stuck in a shuttlecraft and I'm on the Chimera mission. I only have 100,000 credits.

I don't know what ship I should set my sights on and how I can make any money. I'm in with Stellar Salvage, but all their missions are becoming impossible to complete in a shuttlecraft (salvage cargo from 4 ships in the XXX system while being attacked by a pirate fleet with 10000000000 total shuttlecraft-killing missiles...) and those are the ONLY MISSIONS THAT EVER APPEAR IN THE MISSION COMPUTER!

Is my pilot just messed or is there supposed to be no mission computer missions?

Every time I look in the mission computer I get this hypermail from the stockhli guy that says to destroy the message after I have read it ASAP, which, as near as I can tell, means I should abort the mission. So I abort the mission. Then when I go to the mission computer again the the hypermail appears all over again.

So to sum it all up: Is there something I'm missing here or something I should be doing or is my pilot messed?

    • Your problems can be solved with two things:

      1. If you really need money, go to the EVO website where you'll find the archives. Download a cheat such as EV_$Hack or 100Money or something like that. It will make it so that you go to the missions and get the money mission. You get off the planet and then land and Tadda!... 1 million cash. Other cheats cheat the program other ways, but I find this cheating like this very helpful when I'm in tight spots like yours.

      2. Don't abort your mission. Just erase the file that he told you to... not the one he just gave you (I think). I remember playing that mission, and I think it went something like that.

      Hope that helps.

Sleep?! Oh yah... I did that last week.

    • Yeah, I've got the $ Hack, but does it work with EVO?

Okay, sounds good. The problem is that its been so long since I played (because I was stuck) that I don't really remember clearly what's happening.

My advice is start again. Actually you did really well to get to the Chimera mission in a shuttle if I remember right. By the time I was there I had some money, not too much, but I'd upgraded to one of those special little fighter/transport things that Stellar Salvage makes available cheap. Can't rightly remember where, but there's money around even if it is a bit hard to come by. Alternatively, cheat, like Zeta said. Give yourself just enough to keep it interesting, not so much that it just gets boring and you'll have a ball 🙂

    • As I recall, I never did finish the chimera mission. I never could get a shot at it. The chimera would always destroy me before I got too close.

So, to my point, if you do get that part of the mission done, could you please send me your info on how to beat it. I'd appreciate it.

      P.S.
Don't overkill on cheats (like alen said). I totally destroys the fun.

Ahh, how to do in the Chimera. A while back someone suggested hitting it with one weak missile (don't remember what all those things are called in FF now), but I'm sure I tried that and it was just too much. You need to disable the thing, then board it, or rather the ship trapped within it, boarding can be tricky in itself, so long as you see disabled you're OK, persevere. If you don't see disabled you've killed it, even tho' you can still see it - abort the mission.

This is how I did it, there may be better ways.

      1. Outfit ship with maximum turrets.
      2. Go to that unoccupied system with a planet about two jumps away from the one containing the Chimera, land.
      3. Make a copy of pilot file.
4 Jump into relevant system strafing with turrets and avoiding the offspring. Be very careful not to destroy the Chimera (see above).
      5. Er that's it, but be warned, it can take a while and it's much quicker to load the saved pilot-file than it is to abort and reacquire the mission.

    • what i found made the chimera mission and ff in general a lot easier is if you get yourself a fast, small, highly manuverable ship. My personal favortie is a very highly modified Triffid, but a cargo shuttle works pretty well until you have enough credits (several million, since a triac 8 is a must have) to heavily modify a small fighter. Anyway, when you first jump into the system with the chimera, It releases an ion storm or something. In my experiences with this mission, it will only release one, so get the ion storm to chase you far, far away from the chimera. When you feel youv'e gone far enough, turn around (not exactly 180 degrees, but enough to avoid the storm) and head back to the chimera. It shouldnt be to hard to disable it. Board it and jump out before the ion storm reaches you and you should be fine, this technique also works pretty well on the missions where you have to salvage ships with pirate interference.

that being said, I'm having some trouble, too.

Iv'e managed to locate the first two thor superfreighters, but i cnat find the Atgard or whatever it's called. I've done all the other missions, including that one with the stolen art, but now when i go into bars nothing happens and nothing is at any of the misson computers. Would someone please, please, please tell me what I'm suppose to do or where I'm suppose to land or something, 'cause its driving me nuts.

    • Well I started over and got safely past the Chimera mission in a cargo shuttle With the aid of plasma bolts (one of my favorite oufits when beggining a game in FH or FF).

So now I'm on the super freighter mission. For some reason I'm carrying around this Thor Registration thing in my cargo hold. What is that for? I can't even find the first one after scouring every system in the galactic south-west. I even landed at all the spöbs and checked all the resteraunt, bars, clubs and cyberhub/exchanges.

Btw, I still have that Stokhli mission going. I'd like just a tad more info since I'm not anywhere near figuring out what other file to delete. In fact I've been playing so far past that that I can't even remember it clearly.

I've gotten to the thing where I have to apprehend the color-blind murderer if I ever see him.

Oh and I have 1.2 something million credits due to beating some very well-paying missions. Any reccomendations for what ship to set my sight on and where it can be purchased? My cargo shuttle seems great for now but it just doesn't hold its own against pirates very well, except for running circles around them.

    • Well, for the C, use a dust launcher or decoy flares. They are GREAT!! I'm not joking. In the last mission, you like NEED one!

For the first SF, go to the Tusken system. Push 1, 2, 3 and so on and if you found one, land.

For the third, you need to do another mission set. Try going to Stellar Station if you have already done another misn set.
