1. I dont feal like opening the map, but it should be 3 screens west of the ruins in the plains.
2. the S shows the beginning of a secret path from the pathfinding ability, walk past the s into the trees or rocks, where ever it might be, and you will find a secret area.
3. a graphic editer like photoshop is best.

man, those things drove me nuts until i saw someone post that you just walk into the wall/trees/rocks near them! i spent hours standing on them hitting the 'z' and 'x' keys!!
