    • Ferazel, seeing the G5s, casts Replicate on one. Dragging it over to his armchair, he connects a FireWire cable between his PowerBook and G5. Opening a RAID program, he melds the two computers together via FireWire. With his new twin 2GHz-800MHz combo computer, Ferazel begins to play Unreal Tournament 2003 on his computer and uses a virus to spread UT2k3 onto the other G5s, in case other denizens of the Storm Valley Rest Area want to play a LAN game.

    • A rack of twenty Xserve RAIDs appear in a corner, follwoed by the appearance of a desk with a cinema display on it, and a joystick and keyboard. A swiveling office chair appears, and a moogle appears on it. It quickly starts up Unreal Tournament, and tuns it's head to grin at Ferazel.

"I think a nice oakwood finish would really set off the room." It warbles.

    • "Faugh!" the unfortunately-named Sproutsie, an infrequent but earnest visitor to the Rest Area, shoves open the door and points at the moogle. "Are you insane? Oakwood would totally ruin the high-tech atmosphere going on in here. Metal, my friend. Metal is the way....um...."

She trails off with an embarassed hrmpph, realizing belatedly that there are a lot more folks in the building than she had ever seen in there before. Pulling her tibook out of her satchel, she sits in a corner and eats a muffin, mentally redesigning the space, and wondering why the moogle gets a swivel chair while she has to sit on the floor.

After a while, Sproutsie realizes that everyone seems to be furiously working on various Ferazel levels. "So, guys, I see you are all working on new levels," she says, smiling in what she hopes is a winning fashion. "Since I'm a dud at that sort of thing, might I inquire as to when some of these new levels will be done? So I can play 'em?"

Several red-eyed heads swivel around to glare at the annoying newcomer.....

    • OOC: Lively? Hmm, mabey I'm just used to the Nova boards...

The moogle, after hearing the bit about level designs, puts on a Mr. Serious frown, one usually reserved for occasions such as Kefka pouring hydrochloric acid into his bathtub. He stretches out his arms, and folds his hands backwards, cracking his knuckles. After procuring a new set of knuckles, and replacing the broken ones, he swivels back to his Apple Studio Display. He quickly accesses the sprite files embedded in the Unreal Tournament data files, and runs a melding application with the images files from the program Ferazels Wand. A progress bar got ready to appear, realized that the operation in question had been completed, sniffed slightly, shed a small tear, and retreated to the shadier portions of the server block of Xserves to file a complaint to the management. The moogle grinned maniacally, and tested the new formed program. Sure enough, fully 3d rendered cave spiders dropped from the steel, grungy corridors, and various guns of different design and make slowly revolved around in midair, waiting to be picked up. The moogle turned around on his swivel chair, pulled the funny little lever to lower it, and danced a strange and wonderous dance upon the floor. The dance had two effects. One: the interior of the Storm Valley Rest Area became paneled in beautiful, shining oakwood;, and Two: the entirity of the world that the Rest Area had existed in, became a massive UT2003 game.

The moogle's computer console sprouted green wings and flew away, and the moogle ran to the corner to pick up the rocket launcher before anyone else noticed. The moogle grinned maniacally.

Chaos chuckled to it'self in the nether-plane.

    • A shabby exhausted figure crawls in through the door and heads straight for the zeridium pool.

"Hey you guys!" says lizwiz, 'It's good to see this place open again - I thought I was really done for this time"

She sinks into the ziridium brine with a satisfied sigh. "One of my levels got out of hand and nearly finished me off!"

Lizwiz drops off to sleep in the zeridium.

I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.

    • A voice came from the chair Thok had been sitting in "Ah, Liz, nice to see someone who isn't obsessed with today's technology." Thok then took another sip of mist potion, floating again out into the storm...

A moment later, after Thok returned, he left the chair for the first time in a while and got a poppyseed muffin. With a small wave of his wand, Thok returned to the still warm chair. "You know, this place has been somewhat dull lately." Thok pondered a solution between mist potions.

My brain is quite like cotton candy.

    • MonsterLady sat up with a start.

"Oh, my goodness" she said "This place certainly IS boring." She paused and thought for a moment. "I know! We should have a party. And seeing as it is my birthday next week, I'll invite everyone here for a piece of cake. But we should make it a theme party. Everyone who wants to come has to tell a story. But what should the stories have to be about? Any ideas? Anyone?"

    • The moogle woke up from it's dream with a start, frowned, and ate a muffin. It decided to take a quick dip in the zeridium. Liking the bubbling, rejuvenative sensation it gave him, the moogle leaned over, and turned on the jets. The moogles eyes turned into little arcs as it burbled with joy, puting it's hands behind it's head, and feeling completely relaxed.

The moogle quietly suggests that the topic of the stories should rest invariably on the flavor of cake they were to have. It squints happily at the celing, and begins another, more peaceful dream, of chocolate clouds, and little moogle sprites dancing among them. It doesn't notice the fact that it is slipping, slowly, into the zeridium pool. Soon it sinks to the bottom, and is forgotten until an opportune time.

      It smiles.

    • The cake will be chocolate, of course. Is there any other flavour of birthday cake? (Not in my house!)

So, should the stories all have to have chocolate in them?

    • Rose looks over the screen of her G-5 at ML just as she mentions telling chocolate stories. She carefully stands up and looks sternly over the few assembled in the cabin. Taking a deep breath, she begins a story of past times and heroic deeds...

"It was a hot and sunny day out in the wilderness, on the plains, with no ocean in sight, which really bugged me for some reason, but that is another story for another themed party thing. There were 23 of us in all, mostly people from the city or prairie like this, therefore all unaccustomed to the forest we were traveling through, except for myself. Moral was low on this day we had taken to rest, we all needed something, a pep ralley, a moral booster! So, as I stood at the front of our makeshift camp, and I sang this song, as loudly as I could.

Chocolate~ Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers

When your feet feel like they're made of stones and your bones are full of lead.
When your muscles feel like they're galvanized and there's concrete in your head.
When your blood flows like molasses, and you can't add two and two.
When the top looks like the bottom, and orange looks like blue.

When you feel like you're hungover, but you didn't drink last night.
And your eyes are like a roadmap, and your underwear feels tight.
Gravity seems to multiply and your organs are on strike,
You're in sudden death overtime and the wheels are off your bike.

You need some CHOCOLATE! Soft creamy chocolate!
Some chocolate ice cream, and chocolate mousse!
      Some chocolate cheesecake, Bavarian chocolate!
Bring on the chocolate! We need a boost!

Now they say it gives us pimples, it's addictive and it stains.
It makes us fat and hyper, and clogs up all our veins,
It puts migrains in our noggins, and it's worse than cigarettes.
But all those things are easier than having a chocolate fit.

Now there's lots of medical evidence to support our point of view.
It's not all psycological, good news for me and you.
It affects our seratonum, which reduces aches and pains,
And does all sorts of cool things,
To the chemistry of our brains!

Good old CHOCOLATE! Dark chewy chocolate!
      Nanaimo snack bars, chocolate eclaires!
Hot chocolate sundaes, sweet chocolate milkshakes!
      Bring on the chocolate!
      We need a boost!

Now they say we're chocoholics, and we've got a legitimate beef,
And that we should allow the government to be funding for relief.
Now if you can keep a secret, just leave it up to me,
I'll take the funds and build us, a chocolate factory.

And if life should get too heavy, we decide to end it all,
We won't do it with a pistol, drugs or alcohol.
We'll just take a thousand dollars, to a nice desert cafe,
Eat a dump truck load of chocolate, and do ourselves away.

Because we love CHOCOLATE! Mouthwatering chocolate!
      Blackforest cheesecake, and chocolate torte!
Some chocolate rum balls, sweet chocolate windfalls,
Bring on the chocolate! We need a boost!

Bring on the chocolate....yeah....WE NEED A BOOST!

      ~The End~

Rose sits back down, unnerved by everyone's stares. She sinks down in her seat, mumbling nearly inaudably to herself and blushing furiously. She glances up. "Okay, now you lot have to tell one!"

"That's what we need around here. More singing!"

She ponders a moment. "Okay, the theme of the party is still chocolate, but favourite songs can also be included as part of our diversions."

      "Cake, anyone?"

She whispers aside to esw-dragoon_77, "WIRP stands for 'We Ignore Retarded Posts'. It works quite well actually."

    • "I prefer marbled cake," said macmaxbh. "Although chocolate is extreemly yummy. And, the Moogle, you can't meld the Ferazel universe with another unless you bi-polarize the extrapolation part of the melding spell. As nobody has figured out to do that yet, sorry. Your spell only lasted several milliseconds. Although the wood paneling is very nice. Hmm.. Oh darn, my school starts in less then a week. Where did all that free time go?"
