    • Parched Earth help


      I've gotten to the end of the level and there's a stone door blocking the exit. And there aren't any buttons anywhere on the level. How do you open this door?

    • At the begining of the level there is a checkered sign. That is a race start marker, when you go by it, numbers will appear at the top left corner of thye screen counting down. You need to get to the door in that time.

      Some tips: When you hit the sign, run through the level, don't stop for badguys, don't stop for secrets, just run until you beat it. If you get low on health , just get a teleportor and you can start over but just go right through. Than, when you beat it, go back for the secrets.

    • I jumped over the sign and the numbers didn't start. Can I beat the level this way? If so, how?

      Nope, you sure can't 🙂 You have to make contact with the sign for the timer to start, and the timer has to be counting down in order for the door to open.

      This is one of the tougher levels in the game; myself and one other (sorry, I can't remember who you are!) provided a 'service' in which we would pass the level for people who were stuck 🙂

    • Hints:
      Spinning cannons - Use your tree trunk spell - it saves a lot of hassle if you can't get the timing right on the cannons.
      Quicksand - There is a shortcut through the top so you don't have to waste valuable time swimming through the quicksand - climb up and fire at the ceiling.

    • Okay, let me change the subject from "Parched Earth help" to "The Dig help." I either get killed by the crossbows or the death powerups. Do you have any advice to get around the weird walls,the crossbow ranges, and the death powerups? If so, please tell me. Thank you.

    • Arrows - walk up to them, stop just before them, wait for them to fire, then proceed. (Don't be in a rush)

      Death powerups - avoid them. (It is possible to dig around them and leave them in the sand where you can't accidentally bump into them.)

    • Thanks for that advice, Monsterlady. I'm at the part where there's the saved game spot under the spike ball. Then I spin-jump through a bunch of arrows guarding health/magic crystals then I get to non-destroyable floor tiles. Under the floor tiles are 2 axe goblins guarding some health and magic crystals. How do you get under those non-destroyable floor tiles?

      There is a path down either through the far left or far right, as I recall. Throw some fire seeds right at the edge, then spin jump. Should get you through. I'll go back and see if I can find where you are - let me know if you're still stuck.

    • I just tried to get into my saved game there, but it's weird that I couldn't do it because I got a message that said: Please insert Ferazel's wand CD and try again. Oh and, thanks for the advice, Monsterlady.
