    • The V-Blade is VERY hard to get, it involves the first level so you don't get it any time soon.....

    • Anyone else experience problems with a "too many sprite" error on Zichra's Mountain (4)?

I think I'm just about to the end of that level - I'm in the area with the armadillos and I can see a shard on a table to the right. The game play really slows down as I progress through the level, (a five minute timer takes at least 15 minutes, but it makes it easy to dodge enemies) and then I get the errors. Then the computer freezes and I have to reboot.

I increased the memory allocation to FW, and that helped, but last time I got in with the armadillos there seemed to be an invisible barrier so that I could not cross to the right of the enclosure (although the armadillos could go back and forth no problem). Of course then I kept getting whacked by the armadillos back into the time setting thing....and eventually ran out of health & rez necklaces and died before I could see if the invisible barrier would disappear when the timer ran out.

    • that is definatly the hardest part. Make sure you use your ice pick instead of spells. And block the flying spikes with your sheild. That's really all the help I can give you, i've never seen a "too many sprites bug"

To get the V-blade, you have to visit Xichra's Mountain (6) and use an escape ring to leave. Then go back to level one and talk to the "mystic" character who will open Dr Tall's Lair. The V-blade is in there somewhere.

Sigh, yes. The Salamandrakes and the Flying Gremlins are what majorly causes this problem. Be sure you kill them all before you leave that section. There's really nothing you can do about it. I thought I adjusted the timers correctly to avoid this being fatal. The last time I alpha tested I had no problems and Overrider claims he's never seen this either. I think this is between you and your processor speed now, sorry ;). (Extra memory allocation doesn't work, trust me, I tried running FW with nearly 400MB of memory and I still crashed before.)

The worst time is when they materialize right on top of you and knock you off the platform!

Jeez I really hated testing Xichra's Mountain. At least you people have the luxury of knowing it is possible somehow. I didn't when I had to play those and trust me, nothing degrades your morale more than that.

Although those four levels are insane, I particularly liked Xichra's Mountain (2), the one with the digging maze. Anybody have any comments on that one?

Lastly, just as a hint to you all when you finish Xichra's Mountain (4), there is more than one path to Xichra's Mountain (6). I'd elaborate but I don't want to post a big spoiler on the webboard.

Nice to know I've got something to look forward to.
