**Sorry..there's no key. You have to get through the level in a certain amount of time or you will meet that stone wall. Just keep practicing to get faster. It's not easy...but since you've made it through you do know it's possible. Now get faster.

Here are some ways to get through quicker:
- at the area just before the quicksand, climb up the wall and shoot out the ceiling. That saves having to go through the quicksand.
- at the rotating cannons, instead of trying to get the timing perfect, at a couple of spots you can just run to the left and then leap from the wall into the last rotating cannon. At the other spot you can build a tree trunk up into the last cannon.
- I like to go through once, very leisurely (not worry about time), and get all the xichrons, health potions, shoot out ceiling, etc. and then go through "for real", not having to stop for anything.

I dunno, I actually liked The Dig. It's one of my favourite levels.
