So I defeated the guardian, and as I always do after a major victory, I saved. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any exit from the giant's toe cavern, unless I trigger the end sequence.

Am I to understand that my character is forever useless to me now? someone please tell me there is a way to keep exploring and killing sea giants using the same character!!

I did the same thing 3 weeks ago & got very angry.
What is the purpose of the gold that the Guardian dropped, if I cannot use it to buy some
elixirs?

My hope is that one of the Coldstone beta testers would be kind enough to make a plug-in
that helps those of us that didn't use spoilers (&/or were too stupid not to save our
characters in other files.)
Something that would let me go back & actually kill a Sea Giant or 2, w/o starting over or
using someone else's character.

I completely agree with you Macros. The game should permit one to continue one's exploration after disposing of the Guardian.
