    • Ends of the Earth - Last 10% secrets

I have 52% of the enemies and 90% of the secrets in Ends of the Earth and can't find out where I am missing. I am most concerned with the low enemies score. Are the floating enemies or the fire claws able to be killed? If so, this might be the reason why the enemies score is so small. Can anyone confirm this or is it possible to get 100% of the enemies vanquished?

      Your help is greatly appreciated.

Not much help but thought you deserved some sort of a response after all the work you've put in!

Went back to my last saved game and came up with the identical numbers you have - 52% Enemies, 100% Xichrons & 90% secrets. Also tried to kill some of the claws, but nothing was effective. I think the consensus on this board is that the floating enemies cannot be killed - the best that can be done is to deflect using the shield.

      Anyone else?

    • The floating enemies can be killed by reflecting their shots back at them and hitting them a few times (but I do admit that it's very tough!) This requires the magic shield. The claws can't be killed at all.

      Wow! I never new that.
However, I found out that you can hurt them by letting them shoot themselfs when there's many of them.

I found the last 10% of the secrets by climbing into the area with the red spiked ball at the very end of the level. I had just used the VBlade to drop them down before.

As to killing the floating enemies (I'm sure they have a more proper name), I used my magic shield and reflecting around 25 or more of her (I'm assuming it's a girl) shots back at her but she was unaffected. She did turn red but did not die. I then went back after reading your post, reflected 10 of her shots back and used all of my spells against her. She only turned red when I reflected the shot back at her. Is she only vulnerable to regular spells when she's glowing red after being hit with her own weapon? If so, which weapon works against her?

Arghhhh! You can KILL the floating enemies???? I've seen them referred to as "wraiths", "wizards", etc., but never as being killable! One more challenge... I went back and deflected as many shots as I could into them. They turned red, but never a one got eliminated before I ran out of health potions & rez necklaces (which I wanted to save for Xichra anyway).

I found my missing 10% secrets too, (different spot - the health crystals above the last transport doorway), so now we just have to perfect the "Floating enemy killing technique".

      Input anyone (Ben)?

      Thier correct name is “Wraith”.

    • You should be able to kill the wraiths eventually just by hitting them with their own shots. I don't remember how many hits it takes, but I think it was just 3 or 5 or something like that. If they can't be killed, it's a bug and I'll have to fix it in the 1.0.4 update (I also added force feedback ("Rumble Pak") support with the Macally iShock II controller.)

I humbly suggest that you look into this since I held the shield up for at least 25 reflections and the same Wraith appeared and didn't die. I know it was the same one since I isolated the one near the Smite Rings.

I also look forward to the force feedback addition since, if done properly, it has been a boon to many N64 games and I'm confident it will add much to Ferazel's Wand as well.

      (Edit: Corrected a grammar problem.)

Like many others I have come to the conclusion that Wraiths are totally invicible. I've forced one to shoot itself repeatedly for 10 minutes to no evail (I timed it). The Wraith also has no death sprites. I suggest that it almost might be better to, instead of making a Wraith vincible and destroying the uniqueness of the enemy, make it so that the Wraith is no longer counted as an enemy in the % scores (If the Wraith become vincible that would screw up a number of my levels). I also suggest that you make those weird crab arms either vincible or non-scoring. As a final note, I humbly suggest that you don't make both the Wraith and the Crab arm vincible. I think it would be better to leave one invicible enemy because that gives the editor (the person) more power.

    • The Floating enemys are called wraiths.

    • This whole post has left me rather confused. Are the Wraiths invincible, in version 1.03? Has anyone ever killed a Wraith?

It is the consenus that the Wraiths are invincible even though Mr. Ben Spees said that they should be destroyed by reflecting their bombs back at them five times. However, they are counted in the score so you can never get 100% enemies defeated. I do not know how this will be fixed, either by making the Wraiths vincible or by not counting them in the score. Until it gets fixed, I recommend avoiding the Wraiths to the best of your ability.

      I prefer the latter.
