Has anyone figured out how to defeat the floating/dissapearing wizards on this level?

The long answer is: you can't, but if you use the Mirror Shield to reflect back their projectiles, they will temproarily disappear. It seems that the best way to "defeat" them, is to run as fast as you can.

Oh great, another "Impossible to get 100%" level. Gee, that's disapointing.

**"End of my wits" would be an appropriate title for this level. So to advance past the "wizards" (Voldemort?) I have to dodge them and the swords, build a tree trunk high enough to fire an ice crystal at the spikey wall above and jump onto it? Not havin' much luck with it on my powerbook keyboard. Maybe I missed another way to advance.
I never did find the Mirror Shield. Hmmmm...I wonder what level it's on.....

Nope - that's the only way to advance. On my PB I found it was just as easy to stay on top of a tree trunk all the way to the top - processor seems to be too fast to have time to switch to the ice crystal.

**The "mirror" shield is on "Manditraki Wizard". "Manditraki Wizard" is the level that comes after "The Labyrinth".
You do not need the "mirror" shied for "Ends of the earth", but you do need it on "Xichra's Lair".
The "build-a-tree-trunk-and-cast-an-ice-wall-really-quick" takes some work, I recommend shooting an Ice Wall before building the tree trunk so it will be easy to get when you need it.

**Thanks for the help all. I just wasn't building a tall enough tree.
Came across what may be a bug. It's the oddest thing, I went back to replay a previous save (at the end of "Obfuscation & Edification") and when I came out, there was a new level that wasn't there before. "Labyrinth" showed up, which explains why I couldn't find the mirror shield. It's possible I just saved there and exited the "Purple Haze" route, which might not expose the new level. I don't remember.
Great game! I need to finish it soon though and remind my wife that she's married.

**Yeah. You have to go past the habnabit that saw Dimbo to get to "The Labyrinth".
You need to rescue Dimbo from the Labyrinth, Nimbo will give you an important gift.
Unless you use FerazEdit, you will be stuck on "Xichra's Lair" for VERY, VERY long time.------------------

**Judging from your subsequent posts (to which I will respond individually), you haven't done all the other levels yet. To get anywhere in Ends of the Earth you will have had to have collected xichrons from the other levels.

Ok--I'm past the wizards, the springs and the triple barrier. Now I'm at the barrier with the Purple Goblin and save pedestal just beyond it. I can't figure out where the release for this barrier is. Any help would be appreciated
**I "THINK" you're at the spot where you have to go up (use your tree trunk), then do some cannon leaping back. Good luck.

We're not supposed to tell....
but if you go to Obst & Ed, and in a chamber with some mushrooms and blast out the far right wall you will see some steps....
