      I am new to this type of game. I am having trouble controlling his movements. I am able to go a little ways, but then fall to the bottom of the screen. I have used the number 8, 4, and 6. Is this right?

      yeah, I have trouble controlling the hangglider too. The idea is that you have to float in the updrafts (indicated by the little sparklies moving up). The longer you stay in a particular updraft, the higher you will rise. Then you use your left and right keys (I believe 4 and 6 are the defaults) to go from updraft to updraft. To get through the first time (so I could move on to later levels) I just tried to stay as high as I could and get to the end of the level, not worrying about any of the stuff below me that I might have been missing.
