    • Where can I find a Fire Charm?

I finally beat Parched Earth by some miracle (and with 45 seconds to spare, too! Yikes!), and managed to get through The Dig without too much trouble. Now I keep dying in Fire in the Hole. Is there someplace I can find a Fire Charm so that I won't die quite so often? (Please tell me it's not one of the things that got cut from the game at the last minute...)

    • Hate to tell you this, but you don't get the fire charm until you beat all the fire levels. If you need specific help with Fire in the Hole, just tell us and we'll help you. Good luck! 🙂

So you don't get the Fire Charm until after the levels where you need it?! That sucks...unless...d'you need it to survive Ends of the Earth or something?

Actually, I did manage to get through Fire in the Hole in a series of short bursts (go in, kill all the enemies in one section, backtrack and use some Ziridium Brine in another level, repeat ad infinitum). Now I'm running for my life in If You Can't Stand the Heat, and I could REALLY use some extra powerups right about now. I have a Rez. Necklace, but by the time it activates, poor Ferazel has already been scrolled into the flames...oy. I suspect I'm gonna spend another month trying to get through this thing.

    • Just keep running and jumping...

However, you will notice that the flames move faster if you move faster, so sometimes you do have time to gather things as you go along - just get almost to the right edge of the screen and the flames will gradually catch up to you.

Like most levels, once you've done it a few times you learn how to navigate the level most efficiently, but the first few times can be rather frustrating!

I agree it would have been advantageous to have the Fire Charm in Fire in the Hole. However it doesn't do diddly for those walls of flame... just keep running and jumping...

    • There are area's in the fire levels that are a lot easier to do once you have the Fire Charm, so getting the Charm before going back to the fire levels is a good idea. Plus, the Fire Charm is required for Ends of the Earth. If you remain stuck in IYCSTH, then send me your game and I'll beat it for you, if you want. Good luck! 🙂

    • Nah, I wouldn't do that, I usually do Parched Earth, or other individual levels. 🙂
