There's four injured habnabits, the one in Central Caverns(near the Magic Crystal) says "...you must find the mining party..." The one in Western reaches asks for a potion and gives you a key. The one in Obf. says he's seen Dimbo. And the female habnabit in Parched Earth WAS a part of the mining party. Its not really important anyway. I think the 'evil Habnabits' is the most important story mystery.

Maybe XIchra did it for revenge? Revenge is usually a driving factor. Maybe some thing happened when she was young, or had a hunger for power, or the mandatraki took control over her body? Maybe it's just a neat little twist, or grounds for a sequel or...
