Please answer!

I need some help understanding EVO in relation to EV. One's not the sequel to the other, right? EVO's story has nothing to do with EV, right? What's the official/canon storyline to EV? It was a bit of a sad universe, since there's a limited amount of systems to conquer, and there are only superevil Aliens besides the human race.

EV, EVO and EVN have no correlation as far as story line goes. The only exception is the kestrel in Nova, but that is more of a tribute than anything else, and not really a plot point.

Some system names are re used, ship names also. But these don't mean anything.

The Kestrel went through a wormhole bridging two universes.

But that's what they are, different universes.

So what's the official storyline to Escape Velocity?

What do you mean by official? Like what do you do or what happened up to the point you started playing?

What happened up to the point you started playing.

Pretty much everything there is to know is presented in the opening sequence and the documentation that came with EV.
