      This post SHOULD be partially revoked on the basis that The Cheat did not have enough money for 4 Kestrels. This was posted on the 16th(i think), on which he had only 5M to his name, and even with the 17th's income he would only have enough for 1 Kestrel. However, i am willing to let it slide, because it doesnt look like he spent all of his 50M for his initial fleet.

      The attack on Torgo may continue, but The Cheat does have the Kestrels.

    • Cheezy_Cracker, you're post is revoked under the fact that you have gotten the Propus battle and Tiber battle confused.

      You moved your fleet to Tiber, and began fighting a fight that was at Propus.

      Please edit your post to reflect the actual battle raging at Tiber. I will edit this post in a minute to give you the conditions of that fight.

      I have been talking to Consul Bob, and you can expect a message from him in the story reguarding your new orders.

    • nfreaders post doesn't make any sense. He's inside of the system center, meaning he can't jump, and sandwiched between the system defense fleet and the Rebel Third Fleet, the Third Fleet standing in the way of his jump to hyperspace. But somehow he manages to jump, apparently without casualties?

    • He did not jump yet, and he did not take any casualties, because i assume both sides halted fire to consider the Rebel's order to stand down and retreat.

      He also got a little confused as to what was happening where. This can be avoided by giving the battles a header like:

      Tiber
      <post here>

      That can be done by typing " ( b)Tiber( /b) " in the posting text window.
      Please do so in all future battles. You can use my posts as a model.

      It is absurd to think that a system like Propus could support 20 Cruisers and 20 frigates. When only the largest and most important of the Confedate planets in the game could support them Earth, Ruby, Centauri, and I think Star dock alpha. And all repel planets having 15 cruisers and 35 destroyers is equally as absurd. C'mon guys. That makes those planets almost invincible to other attack fleets of indepenant planets and Pirate planets. That means basically only the Confederates can attack the Rebels and visa versa. Give me a minute to look up my research, I will have one though.

      Also, if we want to install something on our entire fleet like say...extra fuel tanks can be research that free of charge or do we have to pay? Also, if we have to pay I don't think it is fair for people to research super powerful weapons they made up and then installt them for free. They will have to come up with a price per unit if they want to install it on any ships.

      Yes. I was confuzed by your post right after my second to last post. You didn't mention tiber anywhere in the post, soooooo.... And my ships are heading out for a jump.

      Which gives me an idea. Treaties. First one: When an enemy is retreating, all ships are to stand down and or hold fire.This is due to the fact that if a ship explodes with a hyperspace feild open, it causes a huge explosion (Huge, kills everyone in the system huge). Comments?

      By playing an independent or pirate you submit yourself to being inferior.
      With attack fleets of 5 Rebel Cruisers, 50 Rebel Destroyers, and some extra mantas(often more than this), a fleet of 20 Confed Cruisers and 20 Frigates is nessisary to offer an effective barrier.
      You may research technology and ships that rival the confederate and rebel ones in order to prepare for an attack on them. Again, by playing an indie, you submit yourself to a slow start.

      Ship modification is not allowed. If you want, for example, the extra fuel, i would have to make you research a new vessel entirly. Depending on the ship and it's specifications and modifications, the research time for it can take from 1 Day to 14 Days. You will however, have to buy a whole new fleet of modified Corvettes with extra fuel rather than upgrade existing ones.

      I understand this is rather unreasonable, but it keeps the possiblity of "100 different Corvette mods doing battle with eachother" from happening...

      You will have to make do with what you have until you design some of your own ships or contract someone to design them for you.

      Sorry, the huge explosion theory doesnt make any sense at all.
      Still, if the Confeds and Rebels want to agree not to fire at a retreating opponent, i see nothing wrong with that.

      Please note that in my interpertation, if you demand surrender you are halting fire in order to give the enemy a chance to think about and reply to your demand. If not, well, there's no point in demanding surrender is there?

      1. That'd make for too easy of a cheap tactic. Jump in, prepare to jump, self-destruct, and send in your fleet to mop things up.
      2. Why should I let you retreat? You'll just try to attack me again later.

      Correct: The Third Fleet is not firing unless fired upon or the Confeds try to move into hyperspace range.

      Ah, good, you found this thread. Most questions should be asked here.

      Only the leaders may use their government funds or research technology unless they state otherwise.

      You get more ships from your leader. He will buy you ships and send them to you. The time these take to get to you can vary from instantaniously to several days depending how far away from a government shipyard you are.

      Only the Rebel leader may. Right now you have been suspended from controlling your fleet due to the fact that you haven't shown up. Assuming you show up regularly, control will be handed back to you once the Battle of Tiber is over.

      Haven't ordered their retreat. I have ordered that they surrender or perish. They're inside the system center, unable to jump, and the Third Rebel Fleet is blocking their path to open space (system defense fleet stands between them and the planet itself).

      Ships become prizes of war and his surviving crew become POWs, in accordance with the laws of war. The Confeds can raise a new fleet for him if they wish.

      You can't hyperspace out, that's the thing. Either way, your fleet is dead.
