i started to replay this game after quite a few years absense. after thee weeks (or so) playing, i completed the alien mission and bought a confed cruiser. after leaving luna, my ship wont turn. the left/right buttons wont work. i restarted my mac and loaded a different pilot and it worked ok. i then went back to my other pilot (w/ the cruiser) and it still wont turn. i have ev 1.0.5 and i'm running osX on an emac. my os classic is 9.2. any help? b.

Its a glitch in the game, it also affect Bulk freighters. If I remember correctly, just adjust your game speed above 100 in the preferences and all should work fine.

Actually, just 100% speed is enough. It happens because the Confed Cruiser has initially the worst turning possible, 30 degrees/ sec, and reducing the game speed below 100% causes it to have negative turning.

The Confederate Cruiser sucks like little else! Crappy looking ship, one proton turret, and shields like a defender! Eeew yuck!

Actually I do think it sucks. 
It may have the most powerful shielding of any human vessel in the game, but actually piloting such a sluggish behemoth is a real pain... and leaves you a sitting duck if numbers and firepower are not in your favor.
Heck, I think I'd prefer the Defender simply because it's fun to fly.

Er, the Confed Cruiser has four proton turrets, and more torpedoes than you can count. Not to mention those nasty neutron cannons. This is just the stock model, remember. A properly upgraded Cruiser can also outmaneuver anything big enough to match it in combat. You have not seen my moves with the roving behemoth. I have mad skillz, yo.
