This was a Nova plug started by Jericon - as far as I know it hasn't been completed yet and I haven't heard much about it for quite some time.
The ship above the Clipper... hmm, not sure. There are quite a few ships I don't recognize on there.

It seems that all the ships are complete, so it should have been done a while ago...
All you'd have to do is replace the graphics for the EV port, right? Hell, I could do that in a day.
But then again, maybe he is trying to make all the outfits/planets/landing pictures to go with it. That could take some time...(edit) And the one in the lower left-hand corner is an Escort Carrier.

Kris modeled and rendered all those ships, but he is too much of a perfectionist sometimes and so things never get done well enough or to his liking.
As for the extra ships, persondude is right about the executive transport, and chicken is correct about the added ships in the lower left.

The thread on the Nova board said there were going to be two versions, standard size, and scaled. The pictures are of the scaled vessels, reflecting the length of the ship in the stats. Can anyone imagine fighting the alien fighters? Not pretty. I might actually go back to my use of the Defender (I could actually beat a Corvette in that thing) when this comes out, not that I have time to play it.

The scaled version should allow more ships in a fighter bay. i.e. 8 mantas and 4 lightnings.

The Rebel Crusier should actually be longer. According to the in-game stats, the Rebel Cruiser is 280 meters and the Confed Cruiser is 250.

I dislike the appearance of the Confed Frigate and Cuiser. If you are gonna revamp all the ships, why not make em look cool? Far too blimpy. And aside from the proportions, the pics are very cool. Its interesting how much the luxury liner looks like a submarine.

oh comeon, they look better than the originals.
here is a tragic bit of information that nearly ruined Escape Velocity for me when my friend pointed it out. all but a small handfull of the ships in EV are based on a simple tube. A tube with wings and ingines, but still a tube. whoever revamped those ships did a darn good job at hiding the tubeish shape. but its still there.
