I just tried to play the original EV in the classic environment under Panther. Ship and asteroid motion is extremely jerky as if you are skipping frames - totally unplayable. I reinstalled EV from the ASW CD, cleared the prefs, set the memory at 24,000 - same results. EV Override seems to work just fine. I know about the problems with Nova and other ASW games under Panther but this is the first problem I've had with the classic environment. It seems to be just the original EV that doesn't run correctly. I have a new 1Ghz G4 eMac with 768 MB Ram. Has anybody else had this happen?

You need 512 MB of Memory or more to do that.

Hmmmm.....take this topic to Help on The Way...I posted a topic with similar problems just like you except at 128 Megs. It was generally said that I need more memory.

Where did you pull that value from? Unless the memory requirement of the classic environment has quadrupled in Panther, you need to tell that to my brother, who successfully plays EV under Classic in 10.2.8 on an old iMac with 128MB of memory.
