    • Where do you buy space bombs again? I somehow forgot.... And are they any good for dominating planets?

      ------------------

    • Never mind; I just found them for sale on Spica.

      ------------------

    • This is great. I have dominated 5 or 10 planets and have the best escorts possible: a clipper that doesn't EVER attack and a luxury liner. I think I can take Sol with that.

      ------------------

    • For secondary weapons:
Space Bombs are fun, but dangerous and hard to use.
Buy some torps and use them as a close range weapon.
Buy some missles and use them as long range.

The Mass Driver seems pretty weak (or at least incredibly slow), Missiles hit asteriods in half the systems, Torpedos take forever to it, if they do, and Heavy Rockets are more difficult to use. I have yet to try Gravitic Space Bombs. Are they any good? I could get more fighters (have four Mantas + bay and 2 Lighnings + bay) but I would still have space for at least one secondary weapon and its ammuntion. So, any advice on what I should get?

You should get Torpedoes and Missiles for fighters. Though they are slow, they are the only thing that work against government warships. Probably Kestrels too, as they have a lot of shields. Missiles against fighters, becuase it has been proven that three Missiles from two Missile Racks disable Lightnings.

Use the torps for close range! They'll work better.

Cough When do you get the idea Torpedoes are supposed to be long- range weapons? Even the description of it says so. "Homing torpedoes are relatively cheap, long-range weapons." They are guided, meaning you can launch them at distance. And you dont even want to use them at close range when you are attacked by angry fleet of Kestrels or government ships. If you want to use close range weapons, either use Heavy Rockets, Space Bombs, or Javelin Rockets. Javelin Rockets arent too powerful, so you must launch them in masses, and Space Bombs can damage your ship if you arent careful.

Yeah, but if the torp misses by a milimeter, it will fly around in space for about five minutes before it hits the ship. Usually by that time I am going to board the ship and the torp comes over and blows it up. I'm not saying that torps can not be used for long range, I am just suggesting that they are used as short range weapons. Hey Cade why don't you stop in the bar, you are never there anymore.

Are they really that bad? Probably you just shooted from a bad angle. Weapons are meant to shoot straight, even the guided ones. Then again, the description also warns of potential suckiness of guidance. " Their guidance systems are primitive" "This same electromagnetic field, when combined with excessive interference, can sometimes confuse the torpedo's guidance systems. " Also, using them as close range is just weird considering its guided and costs two times more than a Heavy Rocket. Using them as close range makes them effectively more expensive unguided weapons. I havent been in Boozerama only for a week. I dont go there often because its fun but brainless. Its not just important, so I pop in when I want. But just today I thought I would respond the posts concering me; just thinking what to type.

    • Awww! We miss you Cade . My point about the torps: There is a better chance of hitting the enemy from close range.

Those rolling of eyes makes it fun. You say you miss me, then you insert sarcasm immediately aftrwards. Dont give up, eh? I dont know what to say after making two long posts with solid evidence.

What did you roll eyes at? That I said I reasoned using Torpedoes as long range? I did do that. I even quoted the game descriptions.
