Huh. I bet there's a Pirate Shuttle waitng us in the next system.
And a pirate Executive Transport after that.

I saw one escoring pirate Argosies, you know.
A defender.
But hey, Defenders can kill you if you're in a Confed Frigate and you have no turrets/missiles!
Heh, those Argosies would have looked more threatening without that Defender

Ive tried charging them with cannons in a Kestrel though. Didnt work well. :frown:

If you try hard enough (i.e. lotsa shield upgrades, capitalize on maneuverability, buy javelins) and are a good pilot, you can make defenders effective... Though god knows why you would want to. They aren't the MOST useless ships in the game.

These pirate ships you seeing, I think, are probably a result of your having escorts that are freighters. Once you have a convoy going, you should see small bands of pirates appear -- flying around in defenders and scoutships. I can't remember exactly, but it was either when you got a better ship or you had a larger convoy that Lightnings and Rapiers started attacking your convoy.

Yeah, its that annoying little feature. Its pointless, you csn just dodge them. Or kill them if you any good ship at all. Scoutships and Defenders... blech! I guess its when you get a larger convoy. That it was a better ship wouldnt make sense. You can be powerful but still poor. Only if you have a convoy you get rich quick.

I was escorting these five or so Light Freighters..
That's why they randomly showed up..
By the way, it seems you can buy the Executive Transport at some point once you have cleared a mission bit..
Why would anyone want to buy it? It's cheap ok, but it can't hold any guns, hardly any cargo, it isn't exceptionally fast and it looks like a miniature Jumbo Jet..
I mean, you can destroy them in a Defender without getting hit once
Probably the only ship a Defender can beat without problems

EV Tuner is shipped with EV. What is Avaiblity 1? Probably because its the fastest ship in the game, almost as fast as a Azdara? Developers probably thought the ship could be really good with miraculous piloting skill?

Hmm. I have never seen it in a shipyard, even if EV Tuner comes with every 1.05 installation. Youre thinking of adding Dospect Armor so youre almost invincible? Or Exp. Shield Generator which is even worse? Movement is very important because without these your shields will fall very quick and you need to run to regen.
