(Indeed, that sounds right. I don't believe any mission bits need to be set for a regular Fake ID to be available. They can be bought at any Pirate location for 2.5 million if I also remember correctly.

If you mean the one near Lethe, it's called "Pirate's Haven." On the other hand, the one on the far left is "Pirate's Cove." When I need a new ship/outfits/weapons, I just pop in "Levo Fix." This gives Levo a complete outfitter! Unfortunately, it also screws up some hyperspace routes, creating new ones and eliminating ones that are supposed to be there. It also creates a system between Levo and Barnard called "Neptron." That's why I use it and remove it. Neptron's government (if it has one) may be called by various names depending on the plugs involved (like Empire series), including, I believe, "Nice Guy Gov't."

Pirate's Haven, which is two jumps below Lethe is the only place where you can purchase a fake I.D. I believe it costs either 1.5 mil or 2.5 mil, and it turns all your legal standings in Confed space to 0(clean). So don't get it if you are pillar of society or honored leader.

Which one? There are many Rebel mission strings.
To start the string you need above avergae combat rating and decent individual in some Rebel systems. Check out the bar at all the Rebel systems you land on. If you are lucky you will be approached by a Rebel who is looking for a civillian to transport some docs to another Rebel system. It goes on to other things which can also get you exclusive items. If you want, you can get both Rebel and Confederate missions. All you do is wait to get both missions before completing the first.------------------
