    • Help with the confed mission to escort the convoy through Risa..plus more weird stuff

Apparently, everytime I Jump out of kathoon, the frigates don't follow me, even though they are my escorts. When I go back, they are still there. All the surrounding systems are either dominated or hate me (and for some reason the dominated ones still ask for bribes in the menu)

Also, I'm in good with the confederates, but if I'm in bad with a planet and confeds are there, they STILL attack me out of nowhere. I have version 1.0.5f so I don't see why this stuff is happening. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong, thx.

Do you have any plug-ins to mess things up? Probably your data files are corrupted?

    • No plugins. Also, I get constantly attacked by bounty hunters, and if I attack them, confeds attack me, even tho I get attacked first. No plugins are installed, however, I did a mission against Astext mining that got me in bad with the confederation, but I rebuit my rep with them, and did a bunch of their missions, now I'm getting all sorts of weird anomalies (ie pirate defenders say "militia" under them). I've only played the original version of EV before this, so I don't know if these things are supposed to be happening, but other than that, I haven't done anything weird. I was considering reinstalling the original version and starting a new game if need be.

You get attacked by Bounty Hunters if you dominate planets. For Confeds attacking you when you attack Bountry Hunters, its weird. Bounty Hunters dont have alliances. Probably your Missiles or Proton Cannon mistakenly hit the Confeds? Diphidia missions shouldnt make Confeds, unless this was a new pilot with absolutely no legal status. Pirate Defenders is simply... weird. Wait the ofter regulars to post, and if they say so too, reinstall the game.

You can be allied with the Confederates in one system but still be hated by them in another. Each planet has their own personal opinion of you. Furthermore, if you're in a Rebel system and you're allied with the Rebels than any Confeds there will try and destroy you. Hope this cleared something up. 🙂

As far as the 'feds are concerned, you're just "disturbing the peace."

But Bounty Hunters dont have any alliances, I checked the datafiles and Ally and Enemy are set to -1. So unless he mistakenly hits Confeds, they shouldnt attack. In EVO I have a pilot who has dominated all of Adzgari space and most of Zidagar space. If the Bounty Hunter appears while im in a UE system, they dont give a damn. So I guess something is weird with his data files.

    • I don't think he means alliances. I think Luke means that Bounty Hunters are on your tail and attacking because... Well, you slaughtered a bunch of people to take over a planet, and that's a no-no. But if you return fire than it's like commiting a crime which is another no-no. Hence, disturbing the peace.

And why is not capitalizing f orge's name such a big deal? I always hear that piece of advice, capitilize EVula, don't capatalize forge, but why? Why? Whywhowherewhatwhenhow?
