As nobody listened to my other post I thought I'd better create a seperate topic. Is it possible at all to become a double agent in RoP?
And just to make sure I don't get in trouble for creating a seperate topic because I'm too impatient for my older question on the Realm of Prey topic to be answered, I'll ask something else. Can anybody convert the RoP readme documentation into Word, Adobe, or Notepad format for me? Apparently Win-Hell can't read it and my emulator can't read it either...

Why is nobody listening to me? Anyways, I just got the Intro missions for both Earth and the Faction. But how many goverments are there and what are their names? And could anybody convert the readme file for me, if they have the time?

You cannot become a doubble agent in the sense that you jump from one storyline to another. Though you should play the Faction storyline for an interesting twist at the end...

There are many governments in RoP but they basically go into two big groups: Confed allies or Faction allies. Similarly, the plugin is structured so that you work for either the Earth Confederacy or the Faction but they will send you to work with an allied government from time to time. If you work with Earth, you will be sent to work for Maskirova (MSC), United Galactic Express/Starbound Shipping, the Fringe Miners Guild (FMG), the Neutral Planetary Union (NPU, and Acceleron Biogenics (Accel). If you work for the Faction, you will be sent to work for the Atinoda Design Bureau (ADB), Consolidated Express (ConEx), Dakura Resource Extraction Conglomorate (DREC), and the evil pirate guilds including the Blood Guild, Gods of Anarchy (GOA) and the slavers.

Ahem, I did it! I got the Intro Missions for both Earth and Faction. (Why is it nobody ever listens to me.) Anyways, sorry if I've been pestering anyone with this topic or anything, (Because it feels like I am), I'll try and e-mail Tim about getting a converted readme. Does anybody know his e-mail address? God, I should have saved it...

Edit: And as for pestering my parents to get a Mac. I already did that. Four times. And if I were to try it again... well I have Asian parents and erm... If you have Asian parents, you understand, if you don't, don't ask.

It should be impossible to get both intro missions with the same pilot file. If you did, you need to report that as a bug to Tim as it should be impossible. His e-mail is islest@tnet.net .

(edit) Wait. It is possible by accepting one intro mission and then accepting the other before you complete the first. If you have done this stop one because eventually things will have changed so much that you will not be able to continue in either. If you did not do this, report it as a bug. (/edit)
