Percise calculations were required to figure out where the the hole exit opened.A single micron off and you could end up in a pulsar or black hole.And gravity wells caused by large massees s(uch as planets or stars prevented the tears from reaching sufficient mass fo anything larger than a pencil eraser.We also discovered that when the exit hole was opened massive tachyon bursts were emitted.Such bursts gave away the presence of incoming matter through the wormholes ,and furthermore Anti-Tachyons emmited in a field completely destabilized the tears-when either they where being created on either end.But this "Dampening Field" was only effective to about 2EU and had no distiction between friendly and hostile transponders.Such devices were only the size of a shuttlecraft ,but we didn't have the technology you had.The farther you had to "jump" the more energy was conumed.And finaly ,in theory a Large "Shield" or "Jump" ship could create a tear large enough to transport a warfleet.This is why I didn't want Unrael to Know this information."
