oboy... I seem to be possessed by a desire to post new topics ever since I registered. What a sweet-sounding word. lol

What's your favorite plugin for EV? I'm noted for my excessive use of the Final Battle plugin.

      Civ II

    • Galactic Scourge, followed by Realm of Prey. And we've had topics like this dozens of times in the past...

    • Pale, gotta be Pale. The best storyline plugin ever made.(most bug free I've found too)

    • Personally, I think New Horizons is the best. The ships are totally redesigned, there are ships to fill in the huge price gap between 2 and 10 million, and there are a lot more systems, governments, and planets. Also cooler weapons.

Mac's rule! Down with the Windows dictatorship!

    • EVGE...I've also enjoyed Pale and Final Battle. New Horizons and Mugabi and Destiny were fun but short (but probably because I was already rather experienced by the time I played them). Still have to find time to seriously sit down and play other plug-ins I've heard are good: Galactic Scourge, Clavius and Beyond, the entire Empire series, among others.

Oh, and New Republic will be good. Only 1 year +- 1 year until release!

    • Has ANYBODY played the Final Battle plugin?

      Civ II

    • Yes, I've tried it, but I always found it too buggy for my tastes. I had to go in and fix a bunch of stuff before it worked properly(and then I lost what I had fixed :frown:). It would be a great plugin if someone put out a fully debugged and tested version, but for now Pale rules all that I've tried.

    • I like Galactic Scourge. I have found no bugs in it so far, and it is very challenging. Although, I do not have many plugs and whenever I try to download another plug-it doesn't work. GS adds many new ships to the gov'ts and adds new gov'ts. The only thing is that it made the Confederates much stronger than the Rebellion.

    • I don't know why, but I really like Realm of Prey. I haven't seen any bugs in it so far and it is very challenging. It was hard to start out at first, because my shuttlepod gets hit by two missiles and its gone. But now I have a Pirate Bloodletter that is so upgraded I could destroy any ship in the game. It also has a very very good story. And many new governments, 58 new ships (i think) and 64 new outfits and lots of new systems. The only problem is I can't get the mission strings for the faction to continue. They are like 1% chance to get them it seems...

In the Final Battle plugin, I got the "Destroy Stardock Alpha" mission, and I destroyed the defense fleet. Then I went over to Stardock and tried blasting it with my plasmatic weapon, but it just didn't work. Was that a bug, or did I do something wrong?

    • Heart of Darkness and Realm of Prey.

Both feature great stories, cool ships and outfits. I think RoP is slightly better than HoD, but they are both great.

I do not smirk. But if I did, this would be an excellent opportunity to do so.

    • I think the Final Battle Plugin's really good. I used that one. It's really cool. 😄

    • The Quantamire Trilogy by Meowx was pretty cool, but there were a few bugs in it. I don't think it is available to download, as I got it from a MacAddict cd.

    • I hate it- the ROP plugin somehow doesn't work.

    • Elite Frontiers.

Very stable, nostalgic graphics and it has a challenging beginning without being too hard.

      Here's a funny thing: System 7.5.2

    • E2: Dark Horizons and RoP, followed by Angels of Vengeance.

Probably that it writes "her" or "she" whenever a gender is called for in the mission text...i.e. your crew might sa to you "yes ma'am" instead of "yes sir" if they talk to you in mission descriptions. Other than that it's probably the same.
