    • Trade route

I know this question has been asked time and time again, but what is the absolute most lucritive trade route with alot of cargo. Preferably a dual direction route.

    • Simple, don't do trade routes their are much better ways to earn money, unless in a bulk freighter. But then you get enough money from the feds.

    • Well, a light frieghter with a bunch of escorts will make alot of money in a few short jumps each way. Plus I have a new game which I don't have access to any lucitive missions.

    • This is just a one way route but: the system two jumps to the northwest of Lethe has med goods for either low or medium and Lethe is high. just attack a ship before you land and it will raise to higher (1100 creds). If you have Argosy or light/bulk freighter escorts you should inncrease money quickly. I suggest using Argosys, for the system in between is unihabited and pirates tend to lurk there in numbers. They usually consist of Corvettes and Argosies and sometimes even Kestrels, so the lightly shielded ships wouldn't do very well. I hope this helps. 🙂

I didn't know oops events could be triggered by the action of attacking a ship...there doesn't seem to be any flag or anything that does that. Are you sure this behavior actually works?

    • Trade routes make you some money, I suppose. But doing missions are faster and easier.

    • The only way to make money off trading commodities is if you have a ship that can hold at least 60 lb. of weight and even then you would make more by picking up multiple missions.

    • Capella -buy industrial and sell luxury, Nemesis - sell industrial, buy luxury, repeat.

And a really cheap and easy trading technique:
hire six light freighters and buy a defender and decoy flares. When you leave the planet tell escorts to hold position and run like a bat-out-of-hell until you're well out of the way of the pirates, then jump: repeat.

I have done this multiple times in the past. I first found out about this when some pirates attacked just as I landed. I tried it myself and it worked again. I do not know how, I only know it does. I also took some bulk freighters as escorts in the southern confederate region to add to my cargo capacity(d@mn do they have huge cargo space!) 😉

Simple answer to making money- hire lightnings, release them from servitude, disable them, capture them, and sell them. Alot of people think a few million in an hour is really good money but with this my record has been thirty million in an hour, its faster if you do it in a system where they sell lightnings so you don't even have to do a hyper jump.

They are when something affects the price of a comodity. I may be wrong about this. Where's David Arthur when you need him? If you don't know him, he's probably the smartest one of the boards.(However looking at many other members, that isn't saying too much. ;))
