I wanted to some what kind of stupid, miraculous things you've done in EV. (Hence, what can you take out in a Shuttle and such?) Just kind of felt like asking, um, yeah, I'm going to shutup now.

It's times like this when I really wished I had a few hours to see just what I can do in a shuttlecraft or scoutship. It's been a long time since I played, and generally I didn't fight in anything smaller than a Lightning.
This hardly counts as far as fighting skills go, but I once made a fantastic demonstration in rapid ascent of firepower. In my shuttlecraft, I captured a disabled Rebel destroyer, and then not long after captured a Rebel cruiser from there. This was... before I'd done a single mission, I think.

I did a similar thing once. A confederate fleet engaged a Rebel fleet and left a Cruiser disabled less than a minute after I jumped into the system. At the moment I was in a sparkling new Shuttlecraft and I thought I should try to capture the Cruiser, just for the fun of it. I was treated with a pleasant surpise when the game asked me if I wanted to make it an escort or my own ship

Wowzers. I'm not sure how many people have done this, so I'll just put it up. A good friend of mine once defeated Matt Burch. Um, yeah, that's about it. Oh yeah, I once took out two dozen Frigates in a Corvette. (Although I'm not sure how amazing that t either.)

As a matter of fact, that's what I'd choose. I'd never fly a Confed Cruiser; it's too slow for my tastes. But it'd be nice to get as an escort, and it's a difficult ship to capture even with a Rebel Cruiser, so I'd jump at this opportunity.
Now try capturing an Orion Galaxy Destroyer (EVGE) in a shuttle...

Maybe Firebird, but you could use the cruiser to take out some pirates and get a jumpstart on boosting your legal and bank status, since he still had a shuttle.

My point was, it's so difficult to get a Confed Cruiser escort in the first place, and it's not that difficult to work up to a decent ship like a Corvette, so why use it as a personal ship when you're going to sell it later? (Well, some people might, but I certainly wouldn't stick with the slow, lumbering Confed Cruiser)
But I can understand why some people would go for the most powerful ship in the game, outside of the Alien Cruiser.

In EVO I got up to Deadly in a Shuttle (no cheats or forklift), then I got a Destroyer, defeated one ship and made it to Ultimate. In EV I attacked a Destroyer in my Shuttlecraft right when a fed Cruiser disabled it and when from Harmless to Above Average(I think that's what it was). Anything else I can't remember.

Get the last two or three killing shots in on a few Voinian Frigates or Cruisers. It counts for you if you get that last shot.
