      Many of the little secondary planets say they're too hostile to land! By the secondary planets, I mean the ones like Quake with nothing on them, that really have no use but to look pretty and to dump garbage on. Does anyone know why?

      Some of them are meant to be gas giants, which have nothing to be landed on, or to have corrosive atmospheres. You wouldn't want to land on a planet with an atmosphere of sulfuric acid, so your ships computer (well, the game enginge, actually) tells you that you can't.

      Quake is another matter. You should be able to land on Quake, unless you're using a plugin that says you can't, or maybe you were looking at the datafile and. changed something accidentally.

      I have done nothing to the game but play it, but when I try to land on certain planets that I'm sure I was able to land on before, it tells me the planets enviorment is too hostile.

      Here's a complete list of all the planets in the original Escape Velocity that you can NOT land on:

      Sirius III in the Sirius system.
      Enyo's World in the Vega system.
      Alkaid in the Alkaid system.
      Regulus II in the Regulus system.
      Zaxted in the Zaxted system.
      Orion in the Orion system.
      Propus VII in the Propus system.
      Persephone IX in the Persephone system.
      Darven in the Darven system.
      Pollux VI in the Pollux system.
      Thanos IV in the Thanos system.
      Perseus II in the Perseus system.
      Tiber II in the Tiber system.
      Osiris II in the Osiris system.
      Topaz II in the Topaz system.
      P-0595 in the NGC-0595 system.

      If you find any others with an environment that is too hostile, you have a corrupt data file and you will need to re-install the game.
