WEll I I support the rebels that is my vote but the feds have some extrememly good things, cruisers, more safety, the planet I am currently living and playing this game on.... Of course being a pirate is great to no morals, killing who ever you hate evn if they are pirates too....

Actually, the Rebel Destroyer and Manta can beat their Confed counterparts 8 or 9 times out of 10.
I'd suggest reviving Bozorg's "which is better: Confeds or Rebels?" topic, except it was archived.

No wonder I didn't know who the topic starter was. I just look at time, and the two year gap was only an hour apart by the time even though the month and day don't match up.

I always loved the rebels.
The cloaking device and the cruiser. Also when you kill a bunch of Feds in a independant system, the system don't like you anymore. The thing is the rebels don't attack you if you are not liked in an idepenedant system, where the feds do. Thats when I liked the rebels more.

In my test, the Rebel Destroyer actually lost to the Confederate Frigate, by one battle. Fluked test, I'd imagine, but it's not as far off as you think. The Manta just holds over the patrol ship, but not far, and of the cruisers the Confederation is far superior.
Grunadulater; though "rebels" is likely not the same in French, I don't think it'd be a female word. "J'aime le rebels", maybe?

Hmmm... By best I assume you mean from our perspective? 'Feds. I like the rebels better... and their ships are cooler... but al around, as a government, I'd much rather have the sound backing of the Confederation than the go-lucky attitude of the rebels. Think about it, would you really want a government who doesn't care if anyone (unless the "anyone" goes out of his way to declare himself a pirate) attacks a civilian ship? Chaos would prevail, the "rebels" (they arent really rebelling against anything are they) would be overthrown, and trading routes would soon follow as the pirates took control. Which is worse, dictatorship or turmoil under the fierce reign of Jolly Roger-waving anarchists?
